Yeah, Cantona is a very overrated player in England. He doesn't have half of that reputation in mainland Europe. For me, the keys to Man U success in the 90-s were good at least for English standards at the time defence and midfield and one of the all time greats Schmeichel in goal. We change goalies with them and we win at least half of their titles in the 90-s. Newcastle and Blackburn in the 90-s often scored more than Man U in the league. 34 or 35 year old Beardsley had better individual stats (goals+assists) than this French c*nt.

What was the story behind the sale of Beardsley to Everton? I am astonished that a world class striker was sold to one of the main rivals for a relatively small price. In those days I couldn't watch many Liverpool games, only may be some highlights on Finnish TV) but of course I watched international football and England always played much better with Beardsley in the team. He was great in both World Cups, 1986 and 1990.

If Kultz is this fella https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manfred_Kaltz then with Zidane they both played for Bordeaux
-
Nope, Dunga and Lahm both played for Stuttgart)

Great team but I don't think it is Zico's natural position) From the 82 and 86 Brazil team you can put Junior on the left side. He was phemomenal
-
And Ayala played in the late 90-s alongside Maldini in AC Milan. Btw, I ve messed up also, Francescoli and Junior both played for Torino, in different seasons of course but still it all counts. I wanted to include Enzo so much. He is a legend especially in South America and also he is Messi's friend despite age difference, they d like to play together. But rules are rules, Mbappe instead of Enzo)

Dasaev -- Léo Júnior, Belodedici, Hansen, Lahm -- Keane, Nedved, Boban -- Messi, Francescoli, Hazard Thats my team, quite a strong one I think.

Of course such weirdos exist. But I also think that you can't use social media as a measure of public opinion. There are a lot more weirdos percentage-wise in the internet than in the real life.

I think there are only 2 options, finishing the season or concluding the season at this point and declaring us the champions. Second option was taken in Belgium this season and in Chile last year, Club Brugge and Universidad Católica were declared champions. And this voiding thing, I don't know any precedents. It would be a scandal, EPL would lose all credibility.

He died 9 years ago from liver ailment obviously related to his drinking habit. But what a footballer and what a guy!

And why should we pay for away fans who decided not to go? I don't get it. It was always Atleti"s responsibility.

'My' favourite match - Liverpool-Arsenal 2004
antona replied to Sir Tokyo Sexwale 's topic in Liverpool FC
Auxerre 3:0. Can't say for sure if its the favourite match, probably Barca 4:0 is now. But it was the first season after the ban and the first great European comeback that I had watched -
100 grams is enough for me, I am not a typical Russian

But seriously, its the power of our fanbase. May be I was wrong and "It means more" does mean something...

I ve always believed in their good intentions

The present and not the past. 30 years ago LGBT people also didn't have many basic rights in the West.

Please don't compare incomparables, UAE state and Russian state (basically, guys from Putin's inner circle=Putin's money) with greedy yank entrepreneurs.

We can argue about this for a long time but Mother Teresa was never interested in buying Liverpool FC. If you look at other clubs FSG are quite good, both in terms of sporting success and in terms "I am not ashamed to support a club owned by those people". I would be ashamed to support City, Everton or Chelsea now.

At least not to the extent Sheikhs are doing it. Western law wouldn't allow such abuse of power.

Venture capitalists don't infringe on womens rights, migrants rights, LGBT rights.

Defending our owners is an ungrateful role now, I agree they should 've known better. But I am stunned when people use clubs like Everton or City as a good example. Not only rival fans but also some journos and even some of our fans. There is an article in the Times today criticizing our owners, Levy and Ashley with the suggestion that Saudis takeover would be wonderful for Newcastle. So its morally wrong to take money from British taxpayers (despite EPL clubs giving 100 times more in taxes) but its morally right to take money from one of the most hideous regimes in the world or take money fron Russian taxpayers as would Chelsea and Everton do? I am not a scouser, as a kid I was enthralled by the football, Digger, Beardsley, Aldridge, that side. Thats how I became a fan. And sorry I never believed in the "It means more" slogan, we are just a great football club nothing less and nothing more. But there is a red line for me... ventured capitalists are ok as owners, Putin's cronies or sheikhs are definitely not. I didn't feel strongly about Everton before, they were irrelevant to me. Now with Usmanov as their owner (Moshiri is just a puppet) I f***ing hope we 'll crush them every time. He is 10 times worse than Abramovich I am still in shock that British government allowed all this to happen.
-
I don't get all the outrage. Fooball industry, EPL clubs in particular pay hundreds of millions in taxes. Its only right that in difficult times football getting something back. As for Everton taking the moral high ground... their owner is a Russian/Uzbek mobster from Putin's inner circle, he has stolen billions from Russia. He is richer than our owners so yes, may be he will use this opportunity to win PR points. But no amount of PR will change the fact that he is a crook. As a Russian I f***ing hate him almost as much as Putin.

Traders cashing out to free their money in case the season ll not finish in time.

Going all out attack was the right strategy when we were 3:0 ahead but after Palace scored their first goal we should have gone to keep-ball tactics...
