  1. It's not. If we win every game, and Man U and Newcastle get enough points to finish 3rd and 4th, we finish 5th or 6th depending on Brighton.
  2. They could draw 2 and lose 2. Villa, Brighton and West Ham could give them a decent game and they do have a cup final to distract them. I think less likely is us winning all of our remaining games, but I say, let's do that and see where it gets us.
  3. He saved a certain goal toe poking it wide at 1-1.
  4. First he hurt his shoulder vs Newcastle on the 18th Feb. Then he got a bad cut on his ankle vs Madrid away on the 15th of March. Both will have stopped him training properly so it's hardly surprising he's lost some fitness.
  5. Indeed. Which is why they always need better footballers than them to get them to play well. Unless they're really, really good at it.
  6. Trent doesn't play in midfield. Even with this recent tweak, he's not playing midfield. So how do you know you like Trent in midifield?
  7. Always has a good game against us. He was s***e today and capped it with that.
  8. He's a good goal scorer. Weirdly more often than not doesn't score the ones you think he will and scores the wtf and who tf goals. The where tf did that come from? Good on him.
  9. Would love it if Mason Mount turned out to be a really nice fella who just doesn't really twitter, thought Elon Musk is a c*** and then signed for us and became our best player ever.
  10. He should just boot it really hard in the bottom right hand corner. I'm right footed and that's where I always used to put penalties and I literally cannot remember missing one. Bang it low and hard and err towards the goal. Goalies dive over it if you don't quite catch it and can't get there if you do. I have no idea why 99% of pens aren't taken like this. Him being a left footer is probably the issue.
  11. Should be apologising for his ****e decisions too. Hope the f***er doesn't come back.
  12. Mo’s pens are giving ptsd. I’d barely got visions of the last one out my head.
  13. Desperately trying to plug the gaping holes left by our non-existent midfield.
  14. Aye. So much for this b******s. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/martin-tyler-liverpool-hillsborough-remarks-24704024
  15. Yeah he always looks tidy but the midfield looks lightweight with him in it.
  16. I dunno how baseball works, but you would think that FSG have realised that not being successful in football really does mean sponsors and corporate match revenue does drop. On top of that is TV revenue. Nobody talks about or wants to watch teams that they don’t support getting beat in meaningless matches.
  17. Seemed to me like Nunes was agreed, but we didn't want to pay for him in January, so he's been parked at Wolves. Be interesting to see if his performances there have put us off. Are we believing Jose Enrique's Gravenberch story? Mount makes some sense to me, but as others have said, he needs to be on top of other signings, not instead of. Much as I want us to sign Bellingham, I could only see us signing him in a window where we didn't have such major surgery required. My guess (hardly going out on a limb) is Jota, Kelleher and Gomez out to raise funds. I think that should raise the best part of £100m. Can see also Jones going on loan. Think we need 3 first team midfielders and a first team CB.
  18. Part of the problem with managing and recruiting for a top side is that players mostly don't want to leave. I'm sure most people would have been relatively happy for Bobby to go a couple of seasons ago if we got a fee that enabled us to go out and buy a replacement, but with FSG and the way the world has been, that was never gonna happen. Jones is another. He's had a lot of time and energy invested in him and I'm sure as far as coaching team are concerned, he does a job. Improving on him is gonna cost £20m or so and even more time and effort. Is anyone paying that for Jones?
  19. Fulham totally lost the plot, but that was a bad refereeing display considering one of their primary targets is to keep the game 11 vs 11. Okay, fine, don't give the pen, but it's clear it's contentious. Don't make a big deal out of it. Don't wind everyone up. Go and have a look. Simple. Instead, he stood about. Caused a massive row. Typical.
  20. I watched it. tbh, I preferred it wished it was longer…
