  1. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BBFguxsCMAAZSLy.jpg:large That's that then.
  2. So what I didn't post on here says what I think about him? Are you inspector Clouseau?
  3. I think I have made my point on the matter.
  4. And I didn't say that. I said he was the best player in the league. That he was IMO.
  5. It is not daft. It is based on the fact that he has proven himself to be the best footballer in the German league and played there in a great side. We have been looking for a replacement for Xabi and he is the closest we have had our hands on in that respect. We need to bring in a midfilelder to build on and he COULD be that player. But we won't find out if we don't play him in his best position and therefore set the team up as such. This is why I want to keep him and give it a chance for the rest of the season.
  6. Good points. IMO we should keep him for the rest of the season and play more. He is the kind of player we want to attract to the club and should really try to build around and get to sign long term. And for him to 'sunk his teeth into it' he needs more ames.
  7. I find your comments a bit strange. I think deals like this can work well and Mascherano is a good example. Came to us on loan, after not been played at West Ham and then signed full time after a successful spell. For me that had been the ideal thing with Sahin. He is a very talented footballer, proven international player. Had he fitted in, and I think he can still, he probably would want a long term deal with us.
  8. Getting Sahin in last summer was great. We need to play him regularly. He is on of the best footballers in our side - him, Suarez, Gerrard and Johnson are the most talented in our squad. It is a priority to get him going and build the midfield around him or to set it up to get the most out of him. It would be a big mistake send him back to Madrid now.
  9. I have always thought Henderson will turn out to be a good player and don't want us to sell him. For the last weeks Downing has played well and I would keep him as well at least till next summer. The two of them played well today.
  10. Well... is plan A not Possession to Death (or some other phrase). But we can't handle the pressure but don't have anything else.
  11. There is no plan B!
  12. I want us to play attacking football against them. We will concede in this game and we have to score like 2-3 goals to win. Just put out our best attacking team and go for it from the 1st min!
  13. I'd like us to get Sturridge and Ba and then gamble on Leandro Damiao. Don't care about Ince.
  14. When watching Alan Pardew giving his post match interview tonight (can't stand the guy) I thought of this article from when we signed Mascherano: http://www.lfchistory.net/Articles/Article/1910 Two good parts: "There is a lot riding on Javier Mascherano’s proposed loan transfer to Liverpool; far more than the Premiership career of one player. There is the judgment of Alan Pardew, the reputation of Alan Curbishley, indeed the general ability of what we would style the bread-and-butter English managers to be at home at the high end of the modern game. [...] If Mascherano succeeds at Anfield, it is the stock of English managers that will have fallen. And chairmen will continue to ask whether a truly ambitious club can afford to place its future in the hands of just any old Alan. " Great stuff!
  15. That was close!
  16. Didnt he flag for a freekick?
  17. Yep but he has been tackling from behind all night.
  18. Pasquale should have been off earlier
  19. This will end 1-1...
  20. Well it is not...
  21. Is Lucas not ready?
  22. There is a lot of talent in our side but the football we are playing is just boring. It is slow - no chances.
  23. I'm just making a very simple point and will try to norrow it down to a single word for you to understand: replacement. I think that neither Carrol nor Suarez have worked out for us. Carrol is not good enough and Suarez brings us problems week in and week out. He is being driven out of the country by the media and the FA. For me that is a fact. And he is not helping the matter himself. So we need to replace them both and sooner we do that the better.
  24. I was very disappointed with Suarez yesterday. After all I felt that people were starting to realize that he was not getting a fair treatment by the refs. And then he dives in a pathetic way and gets all the negative press again. As we all knew when we saw him jumping up and falling down with no defender near him. I love the player. He is a worldclass player and seems like a very good guy outside the pitch. But on it he will always be hated by others than our supporters. I mean we would really hate him if he was playing for the Scums or Chelski. Today I feel like it is time to cash in on him. Sell him in January with Carroll and spend some 60m on 3 top forwards. We would get 35m for him, 15m for Carrol and should have 10m to spend from our own revenues. With 60m we would at least 2 top players, 3 if we spend wisely. It just looks like it will not work with him in England. The awful press and horrible FA has just had their way.
  25. I hate to say it but Neville is spot on week in and week out on Sky.
