This is all very confusing. I don't believe we could not afford signing Demspey. Fulham were clearly not willing to sell the player to us for what ever reason that is and we clearly thought he was overpriced, at the aged of 29 with one year left on his contract. I chose to believe that we want to save the 5-6m for the january window and spend it on a better striker. Leaves us thin at the top and was of course not the plan when Carrol left. Henderson plus cash for Dempsey is clearly bulls*** and that BR did not knew his budget until yesterday also.

There must be a clause in the contract with WH for us to bring Carrol back if needed. Like we did with Shelvey last season when Lucas got injured.

Why are people putting Huntelaar in the frame as a possible signing??? There isn't even a rumor! He has not been linked to us all summer. Only some bloke on here trying to wind us up with a made up story. There might be something in the stories on Walcott and Dempsey but there is nothing that indicates that we are after Huntelaar.
