I have been of the opinion for last weeks that Chiesa was bought without any consultation with Slot. And that is reason he has kind of talked him down from the start. Dumping him out the squad today after good performance in the week has convinced me more. FSG saw Chiesa as a money ball opportunity but Slot didn't ask for the player. And the player suffers.

My point is that we were spot on regarding our targets.

Last summer window was so good I'm just confident that we will do well next summer. Robertson, Oxlade, Salah and Keita, and in principle fixing Van Dijk has improved us dramatically. Another window like that with 3-4 players will make us title contenders. I really don't get excited with any name linked - I just want us to get the players Klopp want who ever they are.

I think Mahrez for 50m is a good deal. But would rather see us go for Vardy. I think he would do very well in Klopp's team. Sell Origi and Sturridge and that would cover the fee for Vardy. Firmino needs someone to put pressure on him and it also gives us more opportunities. But even with Coutinho gone we are in most need at the back. A goalie and a DM is what we need.

I think FSG have done well when they face big decisions. Sacking Roy Letting Kenny go Standing firm on Suarez Now they face a new one I think they will let him go.

No problem - I have actually been underwhelmed by him aswell and therefore his performance, even at that stage was positve for me. They played 4-3-3 where Henderson was in the middle of the three in midfield. He ran the show for me. His work rate is excellent and he looked like a box-to-box player with very good runs and his passing was also good. So what I was trying to say was that he looked promising in a playmaking role.

Did you watch the game? Iceland actually have decent team and did well in the Euro finals last summer. Were among 8 teams that made it to the finals. Henderson just had a very good game and played in a position I have not seen him play for Liverpool. I thought it was worth a mention in this thread.

Watching Henderson having a very good game last night with the U21 I wonder if it would suit us better playing him alongside Lucas than playing Adam there. He had a very good game last night, was head and shoulders above others in midfield in that game yesterday.
