  1. Yes it would be hard, but if it’s really making them lose football matches then they should do the hard thing.
  2. If that’s true then they should say so.
  3. For Liverpool football club to be this bad under any circumstances is remarkable. For any team that has just won the league to be this bad is remarkable. For any team that’s just broken all sorts of transfer records to be this bad is remarkable. For all of those things to be true at once is f***ing ridiculous.
  4. We don’t know, you’re right. And we can’t change all the players anyway. We can change the manager. I believe he is trying his best, but it’s not working. I don’t want to sack him as a punishment, I just want us to change something because otherwise I think we are f***ed.
  5. Someone has said something that I interpreted to mean that. I may have taken them wrong, and (unusually for me) I can’t remember who it was or what exactly they said, and I’m going to overcome my instinct to be a prick and look for it. But the less harsh version of it is what we are saying: the club has to adapt to these circumstances and find a way to win anyway. That does seem hard-hearted, I know. But our standards are very very high. And I think many of us would be prepared to let them slide a little … in the summer I said I’d be alright with a mediocre season given the circumstances (a fair few people disagreed and I understand their point). But our standards simply cannot slip to the level of losing every match and sliding into an oblivion from which we may take years to recover.
  6. And maybe it is true that the squad changes, and Jota’s death, mean it’s literally impossible for any manager to get better results than this. If so then I will write Slot a letter of apology at the end of the season. But we have to try something now.

  8. Odd. It’s not like we’ve never sacked a manager before. Having to sack a manager who’s just won the league is obviously a weird situation to be in. But I don’t want to see us relegated just so we can prove how sound and loyal we are.
  9. I can’t imagine there’s been a worse player in the league this season. Don’t know where he’ll be next season but it should not be with us. Put it this way: if he played for someone else and was available on a free, would you be pushing for us to sign him? I wouldn’t.
  10. Elliott and Kelleher left because they wanted to leave. If their mates are crying about that, they’d also be crying about us keeping players against their will. And they need to grow the f*** up and do their unimaginably well paid jobs anyway.
  11. Robbo, Virgil, Bradley and Grav could snap into form very quickly.
  12. Why do they all make such goons of themselves for money they don’t need?
  13. That’s what she said.
  14. If he relegates us then he’ll never work again. But you have to assume we sack him soon.
  15. His name is Leo and he’s over 45 He plays in Cheshire and he never takes a dive He once had AIDS but he’s still very much alive Oh Leo Leo, don’t let them see your hard drive f*** it, post

  17. We somehow seem to need loads of defenders, midfielders and wingers. Which is nuts
  18. Would the same not apply to the manager?
  19. I’ve just seen that Damian Commolli is in charge of Juventus these days. Mad
  20. Nothing wrong with it per se, but there’s always a convenient article about how great Hughes is, just when he needs one. I’m not blaming him for our current situation, I was thrilled with how much business we got done, and he might be amazing. But I don’t like this pattern of someone conveniently briefing the press. Edwards might well be at it too but I’ve defo noticed it with Hughesyboy.
  21. I don’t know. If it’s true that the likes of Salah, VVD etc’s heads have gone because they are so full of grief, I don’t think there’s a young lad in the world who could come in and go “sort yourselves out”.
  22. He’s not been talking anywhere near as much s*** about us as a club. Also I know you were very clear that you were only talking about this season. But having won a League title with us does make a huge difference.

  24. He used to dress badly and coach well. This is interesting.
  25. One of the worst things about this is how little I care. Like, I am sad and annoyed but nowhere near as much as I once would have been. This means I don’t deserve the highs (when they come back) as much as those of you who are really feeling this.
