Those ' triangles ' really get us out of some tight positions, don't they ? I watched the Villa / City game last night and players seem to panic whenever they're put under pressure. Sissoko should turn into an excellent player but i hope he watches a replay of Saturday's game and Hamann in particular. Superb.

Didn't have a good game on Saturday though. Played well for the last few months but he needs to keep improving.

I've always maintained that he was better at left midfield and, up until this season, i think i was right. However, just like last season with Traore and Biscan, Rafa appears to have tapped into previously dormant potential and made a player out of Riise. He's been our best left back without a shadow of a doubt and i can't think of anyone in the league who's played better in that position, although there maybe one or two challengers to his position in the Team Of The Season. Previously when played at left back, we would have missed his goals that come from left midfield but now Kewell is on the way back it's not as serious. An excellent player to have in the squad and i'm no longer worried about playing him at left back, in what is the best defence i've seen in a Liverpool side since the 80's.

Smith isn't a central midfielder but at least he would have offered some ' bite ' and closed us down. Their starting midfield on Saturday was ridiculous. We should have played like that at OT against a similar side but it was 'rabbit in highlights ' time for some of our players. He also went from a sort of 4-3-3 at OT to a 4-4-1-1 which played into our hands. Nice to see a journo telling it like it is but after that team selection and performance, who couldn't ? Only Fergie.

No. Best thing to do with the offside rule is to make it simple again and have it like it was 15 years ago. It was changed to help promote attacking football, give an advantage to the attacknig team and it's failed. And the ' active ' thing is b******s.
