don't mind that the players are linked with other clubs, after all some of the players are very good. i'm just pissed off with the continous undervaluation of the "supposed" transfer fee i mean hick and gillete got kids to feed.

Instead, Alex's header left Arsenal requiring two goals in seven minutes - an impossible equation. must have missed the champs league final from two years ago.

ahem, nothing to see here http://www.corriere.it/gallery/Sport/vuoto...o/rissa/1&1

there now, that wasn't too bad

any plans to visit liverpool? i'm talking about ronnie's brother not you

i would imagine that he sets a number that he expects the strikers and midfielders to score, the players can workout if they are staying or not based their numbers and other performance measures at the end of the season

i thought they were wearing them cause cronaldo was made captain, but there you have it

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/e...rem/6323869.stm Benitez warns Reds ahead of derby Benitez will be out to avenge his side's 3-0 derby defeat at Goodison earlier in the season Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has warned his side to avoid being distracted by any talk of the title ahead of the derby against Everton. The Reds are five points behind Chelsea, in second, and 11 behind top-flight leaders Manchester United. "It is a long race," said Benitez. "But if you get close and people start talking about titles, that is when you make mistakes. "We must only concentrate on the next three points." Benitez believes the Merseysiders are more of a match for the top two this season and wants his players not to let their hearts rule their heads in the heated atmosphere of facing their local rivals. We have improved a lot in terms of confidence since that defeat at Goodison in September Rafael Benitez Liverpool will be especially keen to beat Everton after they were beaten 3-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season. "As a manager you must try to be calm, to do the same things and to control the players," he said. "Some of them, maybe the local ones, want to win in the first minute, but you need time and to have your brain working. You know better than me, I do not have to say which players!" He added: "Two years ago we were not close to the top two. Last season we were a lot closer and now we are even closer. "So we must keep winning to the end and see how close we get, that is what we are trying to do." Everton boss David Moyes insists his side will be underdogs for the games but hopes his side can earn a shock win and raise their confidence as they challenge for a place in Europe. We have beaten them once this season and want to make it twice "Liverpool are expected to beat us because of their spending and the players they have available, so it is a rarity when we win," he said. "But I want to change that situation, I want us to win more games and get closer to Liverpool." He added: "We will be doing everything we can to get close to Liverpool. "But they are in a rich vein of form now, the form in fact that many people were expecting them to produce right from the start of the season when they were being tipped as championship contenders. "We all said they were a good team, and now they are slipping into their best form. "But we tend to do well against the better teams and we hope that happens this time. "We are not kidding anyone, we know it will be tough. But we have beaten them once this season and want to make it twice. "If we win it, it will make a big difference to our confidence. That would help us in the run-in to the end of the season."

this thread is just going to turn into a body surfing tutorial, you really should know better

you know that doesn't apply to everyone, there are plenty of idiots in the world

if at the end of the term, he IS an alonso like quality player, 16M will be cheap in the market

i think the reasoning was that they didn't want a bunch of clubs listing players that they were after and making cases for each of them. that would be a ton of paperwork and procedure, it just not what fifa are about.

suppose that's good news

its been mentioned that chelsea turned in their papers for the ash cole transfer after the deadline and it was accepted.

what does one have to do with the other? just because only the two spainish players signed and we not heard heard anything about masch doens't mean it's off. there's still time, besides mihir bose and gravy haven't commented otherwise, so it's still ON

they could revise their offer (lower than original) while effectively still offering a premium (say their original was 4.5k lbs ) they check the books, it looks like the shares are worth 4k and they decide to offer 4.3k i'm disappointed about the turn of events, but fans have to realize that lfc is also a business to the investors and owners. if dic walk away over what info is in the public domain right now, it makes very little sense.

update from dave usher at tlw: DIC decided after due dilligence that they had originally overvalued the club. Presumably they made a revised offer, which Moores rejected. Gillett doesn't give a f*** what he pays, he just wants a footy club and if he doesn't get us he'll move onto Newcastle or someone. And it was LFC who told people he wanted a groundshare by the way. That may or may not be true, but it was them who leaked it. ------------------------ to me, if that's true and dic did want to lower their original offer, then lfc have every right to at least evaluate every offer - the board members did nothing wrong. as for the sheik being pissed off about being jerked around, i'm surprised about that one. he should be familiar about the intracies of large complex business deals, offer and counter offers. on top of that we are talking about football business - there is argubably more jerking around in this business than any other.

thanks mate

i forget what the deal wth barragan is, is he out on loan? can we get him back or was he sold?

poland better be worried then

excellent, i've got setanta, can't wait for the game........those that don't, can eat cake
