  8. Agreed. Superb finisher, but not really physically gifted to go along with it. That's what has separated Van Nistelrooy from the majority of strikers who have come out of Dutch footy with a cracking record but have gone on to do nothing. Not blindingly quick, but certainly quick enough, superb aerially, agile, and as strong as an ox.
  9. So by trying to head it away it wasn't a defensive move? Cut the lad some slack, it was a nightmare to deal with. And you know you'd have gone apes*** either way.
  10. If Arbeloa and Mascherano do the right thing and make sure Kalou doesn't turn, then that cross doesn't come in. Riise could do little else than what he did. If he'd have swung at it with his right he'd have more than likely shanked it into his own net. He couldn't leave it either, as Anelka had a tap in behind him.

  16. Typical Mancs, the first two lines don't rhyme.....
  17. You have to admire Wenger for sticking to his footballing philosophy no matter what, in all honesty. But there comes a time when it's not about the performance but more about the result.

    Plessis...

Spot on that. Anyone that has seen him in the Ressies will know that his performance today was par for the course. Let's hope he builds on it.
  19. He managed to jinx it well enough.

    Plessis...

Anyone that's seen him at least once for the reserves will not be surprised at how composed he looked today. I'm just surprised he took to the physical side of things so well. Make no mistake, that was a fantastic debut. And a very very much deserved one too.

A good guy treated horribly by many. He'll forever have my respect.

  23. And I missed the point that for so long we've been criticised for not having a player capable of scoring 20 goals in a season, but now we've got one, we're too reliant on him!
  24. I've just finished my dinner at work, and whilst on it I read our match report in todays Mirror. All Maddock talks about is how vital Torres is to us and how if he was to be injured we'd be in the s*** because only Gerrard and Benayoun have managed double figures this year. Last time I looked, Ronaldo had scored twice as many goals as the next united player, and only 3 of theirs have reached double figures. The next player after Rooney is Saha - on 5. Fact is, we've scored more goals than anyone else this season, and ours are more spread around than United. And Arsenal.
  25. Perfect timing 1 minute in
