    The odds are not in your favour on that, Leo. He needs to start showing in-game intelligence, i.e. not pinging the ball towards your centre halves when they're being closed down, not playing blind passes, not running into blind alleys or into touch when a pass is on, etc. I'm not writing him off and agree that tiredness could be a factor but the current incarnation of Emre Can is too thick to excel in that role.

    0-0 I reckon. We're doing well against teams who have an inkling of ambition. Van Gaal is going to set up 10 men deep behind the ball and try and catch us on the break in the style of his protege, Mourinho, and we'll struggle to break them down. Other Manc managers would probably bend to the will of their fans and try to attack but he's too pig-headed. Would like to see Allen start this one further up the pitch instead of Lallana. He could thread some decent balls through for Ibe and Firmino to run onto in half the time it would take Lallana to take the ball, pirouette, change direction, etc, before looking up to see all his options have now gone.
