My overriding memory of Heskey is that of someone who could (not that he always did!) finish instinctively but regularly cocked up 1 on 1s or in situations where he needed to have a think. There was a brilliant bit in the game last night (I think when Emre was lying on the floor concussed) and Klopp starts shaking his head and then shouts at him: "Adam! Adam! YOU have to fight today!!"
As someone said in the match thread last night, he's not half as intelligent as he thinks he is. That's the nub of his problem, can't keep things simple.
Hass, completely appreciate that he's scoring goals but the issue is that our system relies on movement up top and if he's going to remain static or make stupid runs for 89 minutes, it pretty much renders all of the build up play as useless.
