Agree that you should be able to get a ban for a blatant dive. Also agree that both UEFA and FIFA sometimes sort of make up the rules as they go. Bit strange though, that you could possibly face a retrospective ban for a yellow card offence.
Meh... not any worse than a few red card offences I've seen. It's a classic case of stamping is it not? Only this time victim comes in fast and hard himself.
Nearly provided an assist with a very good cross. Didn't any needless balls like he so easily does just as in the Spurs game. He does have pretty decent right foot so why not try it?
Was just about to type that myself. Just opening a 200 g chocolate bar however, so I really have no case on you. Also being an atheist I have already pretty much been eating all day too.
Thought Babel did ok coming on tonight. He had two worthless efforts, but he wasn't wrong to have a go imo. Still think YB should have stayed on the field though. I'd rather have N'Gog over Voronin atm. I don't think Lucas is the answer to our CM midfield position. However he hasn't at fault for our 6 points lost so far any more than the likes of Gerrard, Kuyt, Torres etc. Problem is I don't see him providing something out of the ordinary, a game winning moment or even a goal for us. Alberto will probably be and improvement for us though.
I'm off to listen to YNWA, the Nina Simone version. It helps in moment like this. Individual mistakes did it for us tonight. On another point, I do hate some of the players' reaction when things go wrong, for example getting a referee decision against them. Reina lost him cool, but at least it is unusual for him to do so. Torres the main culprit however. To me he was an emotional machine during his first season here, and I'm sure it contributed to greatness he provided then. Just as much as it contributes to him being on the wrong side of some margins at the moment.
The Reds XI in full is: Reina, Insua, Johnson, Skrtel, Carragher, Lucas, Mascherano, Kuyt, Benayoun, Gerrard, Torres. Subs: Cavalieri, Voronin, Riera, Ayala, Dossena, Kelly, Babel. The Skrt is back
