  1. He doesn't know as much about football as me?
  2. He wont be arsed mate, he knows the score.
  3. Well, one of the most frustrating things is when away from home some players dont stand up to be counted, Riise is one I wouldnt rely on.
  4. You are missing the point, Warnock was brave as f*** but not quite good enough, Riise is a good player, but not the bravest, Finnan is a very good player and brave without looking tough, Carra, Gerrard, Xabi are just class and hard. Its getting out of hand now, lets just move on. He isnt my favourite but he still does a job. I have had about 15 bottles in ours tonight, give me a break. And I presume you meant the only s*** you have seen me write?
  5. OK, maybe I used too harsh a phrase, 'girl in the tackle' maybe more realistic.
  6. No, but s***ting out of tackles means to me that they haven't got any courage. Not scoring goals doesn't mean the player has no balls, hence the reason I am not tarring Finnan with the same brush.
  7. Scott Houghton, ex-Spurs.
  8. Alan Kennedy Gillespie Barnes Rush ( He is not injury prone ) Houghton How's that?
  9. I disagree, Hamann, Finnan, Crouch, Kuyt, Agger and Bellamy are a few more who have balls. I think Riise is a stand out coward on the pitch.
  10. Look, I agree, I think he is a great squad player and he has scored some belters and put in some good performances. However in my opinion he isn't a brave player and that is a huge drawback.
  11. I am not being harsh, I pointed out that he is nowhere near being the best in the world, and is in fact a s***house on the pitch. Granted he has a splendid left foot and a good engine.
  12. Scoring good goals does not constitute having heart or courage.
  13. I wouldn't say idiots, apart from a couple. Just a lot more direct questioning than I wanted. Anyway, I always prowl around here watching for titbits of info. I think things are looking good. I would love a trip to Athens in May.
  14. I will vomit profusely if we have to play United in the final.
  15. Exactly
  16. I still remember going away to Man City in 2005 and watching Riise visibly shrink from about 4 or 5 tackles with Joey Barton. And that is not an isolated incident either. He hates tackling, you might notice he only ever throws a decent one in when the winger is controlling and turning on the touchline, so is basically a sitting duck
  17. Not really, just pointing out that he is nowhere near being the best in the world. I dont think he possesses the required courage to be considered a top player, a la, Xabi, Carra, Gerrard etc.....
  18. Please re-phrase that
  19. If he had a heart he would be on his way to that.
  20. Its so transparent isn't it? Good lads though.
  21. You are such a drama queen Ant. But I still like you.
  22. I'm fine thanks mate, yourself? Staying off the boards more than I used to, was a bit personal at one point. Good times ahead though.
  23. The lad is fantastic, I think we should just sit back and appreciate him. Same with Carra, Agger, Crouch, Alonso, Finnan, Pepe and Mascherano.... We have got some top players here now.
  24. When Rafa took over, Finnan was being touted around for 2 million. Spurs wanted him but wouldn't pay the asking price believe it or not. The money was going to buy Joey Barton.
  25. Agree totally.
