I am amazed the level of support Benayoun gets on here. For the type of player he is, he's nowhere near good enough. And while playing on the left isn't his best position he offers absolutely nothing there. At least Kuyt puts in a shift on the right.

Spot on. Keegan was fantastic for us. People don't look back on his departure as a turning point, because of the identity of the person who replaced him, which is fair enough. But KK was immense in his time here.

No, another day, another thread where all the lame-brained sheep that populate this forum jump on Kaizer for daring to express an opinion different to their own. it's so tedious FWIW I don't particularly rate Itandje or taylor and think we could do with a more reliable back-up, but it's not easy getting somebody to sign if they know in advance they are not going to play more than half a dozen games a year. Reina is so top class there is no way a back-up will displace him unless he gets injured.

Agreed. Not fit to lace Garcia's boots. Poor signing. Don't get this "he's a good squad player". Why? A good squad player is someone who can come in and do a job. Crouch or Pennant for example. The position Benayoun plays, he needs to be a bit special and he ain't.
