My first game standing on the Kop with me mates. Will never ever forget it. Only just got in mind, I think they shut the gates at about 2.15.

May seem strange but I wouldn't mind seeing Pennant take one. Doesn't look mlike he suffers from nerves and his laid back demenour which can be so frustrating at times might just work in his favour in taking pens

The 90's were a nightmare for this. Really started for me in 4-3 Palace semi Final in 90. Carried on until we had Scales, Ruddock and Wright at the start of Evan's reign. Came back towards the end when we had Matteo and Harkness/Kvarme playing centre backs for a while. Sami stopped all that in an instant for me.

Mixed feelings at the moment. Could be fantastic but my worries 1. What will they take out of the club as a financial return? 2. Will they interfere with Rafa - buy glam players etc? The club could become a circus/plaything.

Would like to see Hypia in the squad for a couple more years. He can still do a job and has so much experience and is a calming influence. Think we could do with some of that in midfield at the moment to bring the best out of the other players, esp Gerrard.

Worth some in depth analysis as no player divides opinion more. For me he needs players to link up with in the final third to be the most effective, he often looks poor when he's isolated. It tends to be the weaker teams away or at home when we commit most men forward.

Just been looking back at the DVD for the CL run. Premier League doesn't even come close for the excirement and drama. Much as I'd love number 19 I'd give it up in a flash for Ole Big Ears. Win 3 more ties and we're in the final!!!!

I think it's more sensible to compare Alonso with Whelan, and at the moment I would take Whelan. We've never had a player like Gerrard before, he's pretty unique in world football. Could you have seen Souness beating full backs and delivering pinpoint crosses? There is nothing he can't do and this becomes his problem in a way as it makes it harder for him to be disciplined.

Best thing about that game was that Forrest were a bloody good side that season and had beaten us at their place a couple of weeks previous. Did they show the St John's Ambulance bloke flicking the ball up with his back heel after Aldridge had been tackled?

It's just not right unless the number 2 shirt goes to the right back and 3 to the left back. Not really bothered about any other positions.

Deep down I do want England to win but there is a part of me that doesn't as the likes of Lampard and Ferdinand would be absolutely unbearable if they were to win it.

Can anyone explain to me the difference between this deal and the Zieige deal that we ended up getting taken to court over? Both of them activated get out clauses. Great Bellamy song by the way.

Just imagine having to look at the picture of him lifting Big Earsif he'd gone to Chelsea. Hated him for one night. Love him now-a proper Liverpool great!!!!
