West Ham vs Liverpool - Premier League, 26th April @ 7:45pm
lfc003 replied to ynwa.tv 's topic in Liverpool FC
Arsenal's downturn in form is more to do with losing Saliba and having Rob Holding in the team rather than bottling it imho. Anyway, tough game for us. I'd rotate the team to add some freshness. I think we could do with Nunez pace in behind as West Ham will leave space in behind to exploit. --------------- Alisson ------------- Trent -- Konate -- Van Dijk -- Robbo -- Jones --- Fabinho --- Thiago -- --- Salah ---- Gakpo ----- Nunez --- Subs: Kelleher, Matip, Gomez, Tsimikas, Diaz, Elliot, Hendo, Milner, Jota -
I know the answer is Todd Boehly but i don't get why they spent soo much in January if this was a likely scenario?!
-
In hindsight, it would have been better if he stayed at Fulham on loan this season to play rather than go straight into our first team squad. He's a prospect that's not been managed greatly this season and i hope it's a loan away rather than a transfer if true.
-
You could tell he was enjoying himself last night, the speed and intensity in which he tracked back into position when the ball was lost was chalk and cheese to previous performances.
-
Very good last night after a decent performance against Arsenal. If he stays fit, the consistency will come.

You don't prioritise and save for a Ferrari, ignoring the option of a couple Audi's while letting your Volvo become un road worthy, to suddenly decide you can't afford the Ferrari! It's nonsense, FSG will get a lot of flak for the lack of squad investment but Jurgen is complicit in it.
-
You don't get many Italian internationals wanting to leave Serie A, I think Barella is a none starter.
-
Mount’s a very good signing but not a marquee one. Gallagher however is s***e, I’d genuinely rather target John McGinn over him. Some of the other players linked make no sense to the system we play. The whole club is a shambles, The most important transfer window for many a year being navigated by a sporting director who handed his notice in 6 months ago, it’s a farce!
-
I would love to know what price they thought they could get Jude for. We’ve actively avoided strengthening a part of our team for a number of windows waiting for our number 1 target and have now decided he costs too much. Serious questions need to be asked of FSG and Jurgen. Sends a great message to the likes of Ali, Virg, Trent and Mo about where this club is going.
-
He’s a company man, he’s one of the highest paid managers in the world and he’ll take what he’s given with grace.
-
We brought Nunez for £80 million to play CF and 7 months on, Klopp clearly doesn’t fancy him there. He is was having a massive impact on games through the middle and is now on the periphery of games when starting from the left. I’m not sure Jurgen picks him in his best 11 when Diaz is fit.

I don’t get Mo being on the bench. I think it’s a horrendous decision considering the lack of creativity in the team. -

I would drop both full backs to be honest and i can see Milner coming in for Elliott to 'stiffen' the midfield up. --------------- Alisson ---------------- - Gomez -- Konate -- Van Dijk -- Tsimikas --- Hendo ---- Fabinho ---- Milner ---- ----- Salah ---- Gakpo ---- Nunez----- Subs: Kelleher, Trent, Matip, Robbo, Arthur, Elliott, Firmino, Jota, Ox Which looks horrendous to be honest -

Good appointment, i've never been sure on Nagelsmann despite all the hype. -
I'd be looking at replacing Kelleher and Adrian with Neto and promoting either Davies or Pitaluga to act as 3rd choice. Kelleher should leave for the sake of his career for a good price and Neto on a free transfer to replace him could be shrewd business.

Bayern v City will be a great tie. -
By all account's the injury suffered against Man City was a bad one. I think he'll be back to his best after a good preseason. He's definitely one to keep.

Early kick off, away from home after two weeks off, we'll get our bellies tickled by them. -
He's featured in 14 of the 18 games played since the World Cup.
-
I think it's less appearances than that but it is a heavy workload for a 18 year old in his first professional season in midfield in the Premier League.
-
We're hit by injuries practically every season though, it's no longer bad luck. It's a expected consequence of the profile of player we have and load management/sports science/fitness team. Something is drastically going wrong for the amount of muscle injuries we get in training.

Such a strange quote, especially as we sat on our hands and spent all night watching our right hand side get battered by Madrid. -
It's happened all season this. I don't know why but Jurgen's had a absolute stinker this year.
