I was seriously pissed off when I said it was 'as bad as anything I've ever seen'. Truthfully I've got no meaningful way of comparing it to s***e served up by Souness, Evans, Houllier or Hodgson but it waa absolutely as bad as anything I've seen this season from us irrespective of the result. And given the personnel he's had available the relative level of performance of the current side is, in my view, as bad aa any of those others.

I'd prefer him getting us playing in a way that will mean we get sustained good results. We're miles away from it and aren't getting any closer. And like I said, it isn't just 'this place'. Everyone around me yesterday was aghast at how we played.

No just on here though is it? People at the game yesterday were saying the same, that there has been no meaningful improvement in performance. That was pretty much the universal view around me.

I quite enjoyed the 5 minutes or so in the second half when he decided to combine playing football with doing the worm.

Looked like a heavy touch and bundled it in a bit but he deserved it, showed some glimpses of quality. It will be a travesty if he doesn't become a real player for us. A popular scorer with fans and players.
