I don’t like the ball boys provoking the players. Because at the end of the day what happens it what happened last year at Swansea when a player loses a bit his temper and after that the player is guilty of something that the player is not guilty. I dont think it’s right to educate kids like that. I told the ball boy not to do that because he runs the risk of one of my players punching him or losing his temper. Someone told him to do that. I went there to stop Azpilicueta… All my four defenders are phenomenal in their attitude. From here. I'm surprised far more has not been made about this. If pretty much any other manager in the premiership had said that in an interview after the game there'd be people calling for him to be sacked.

The idea that playing a game professionally qualifies you to analyse or talk about it is specious nonsense. They are different tasks requiring different skills. It can clearly can provide an insight, as Phil Neville or John Giles demonstrate, but its their ability to communicate rather than the fact they played them game that makes them worth listening to.

Mourinho is a systems based manager. Players are selected based on their ability to play particular roles. He doesn't build his sides to accommodate individual players and he tends to stick with what works. Mata is a wonderful player but he's not at the level that would drive an ego driven, enormously successful manager to consider adapting his playing style.

Are you talking about Juan Mata who was Chelsea's best player by quite some distance for the last couple of years? He's an extremely good player in a poor team that is being coached by a footballing neanderthal.
