If it eventually encourages the crowd to sing other names too - especially when the players are having difficult times, then I'd settle for a bit more Fowler worship. Don't think so: Benitez must have picked up signals about a Fowler return and all the implications before anything was signed. I am actually of the opinion that something very deep is going on here. We are not richly oversupplied with forwards yet he allows the youngest 90-minute player to go out on loan. Cisse must have had a few sleepless nights last month and now finds his place quite safe for the rest of the season (squad-wise anyway).
