Being isolated isn’t contrarian in footballing terms though is it? I mean Henry used to drift left and be ‘isolated’ for Arsenal but he was so f***ing good, as is Salah, that the plan was for that exact scenario to play out. I feel like we’re trying to be forced through training to play more through the middle and accommodate Wirtz which just isn’t working.

It’s baffling. Tell you what Mo, why don’t you just beat a player or even two in order to make a simple pass as opposed to our midfield, striker and full back f***ing grafting to make space for you and open up the play.

Watch the games this season and count how many times our players, especially midfield, have tried to win a header rather than just try to nudge a player in the back and usually give away a soft free kick. How many times we’ve under hit passes or forced attacking players to check back and receive a ball that should have been played a yard in front of them, it’s infuriating and we’ve nobody on the pitch right now demanding better.

I don’t mind him being f***ed off, I want every player benched to be f***ing livid they’re not starting, coming on and showing the same attitude that Chiesa does. Running, taking risks near the opposition goal, tracking back, pressing the ball and genuinely acting like they give a f*** and being the league champions playing for the best club in the country. Right now we don’t even challenge. Hallas la, yalla!

I want him to show it on the pitch, I want him, Alisson and VVD f***ing bollcking people around them left right and centre. He should have a Ballon D’Or, he’s one of the all time club greats and in his pomp arguably the best player on the planet.

Would have / might have, could have possibly linked up with our only decent player, maybe would have tried running with ball probably straight into a defender as he’s done all season? Speculative and anyone who’s watched Salah recently wouldn’t give two f***s about bringing him on at 2-0 up with under 20 mins on the clock. We made bad subs and it’s on the manager, personally I think Salah would have made f*** all difference.

But Gakpo didn’t come on, Isak, our main signing and centre forward did, not an out of form sulky winger who’s been s*** for weeks.

Why? He’s stunk the place out for weeks and his work rate has never been lower, not exactly what you need protecting a lead away from home. We didn’t need to sub Ekitike in the first place but the idea that Salah through the middle would somehow make any difference is laughable.

Could have made the Chiesa sub and been no worse off.

Can’t remember the last time either of our wide men even tried to beat their man on the outside or made a run in behind. We’re so embarrassingly predictable these days.

The physical side is a big issue, can’t recall a Liverpool side so weak in the tackle as this one.

Thought this for months now, just play him on the left and rotate Gakpo as needed. Lord knows Wirtz is never going to make it there.

No issue with Isak being brought on ahead of Salah to play through the middle, Szobo was wide right by the end of the match and there’s no way in hell I’d be subbing him for Salah in his current form.

As I said, pissed away money in almost all the wrong areas. We aren’t a feeder club, we spent a fortune.

You said we’d have been left high and dry if he’d left in the summer, which clearly isn’t and wasn’t the case. Yeah we can get a fee for a 33 year old in dismal form who’s throwing his toys out because he’s been dropped, big f***ing deal. We should have been planning for a future without him, instead we let our only other left footed player with experience in that position go out on loan and we spent 450m in nearly all the wrong areas. We needed a CB, we needed a six, we needed an upgrade on Gakpo and a long term replacement for Mo.

We spent 450m, hardly high and dry mate.

Salah can f*** off to AFCON and then to Saudi for a hopefully decent fee. Not the first time he’s acted like a total prick and he’s done f*** all to justify his place in the side this season. He’s 33, we’ve seen the best of him and should have been building for a future without him last year rather than being held to ransom.

He won the title in his first season.
