Spoke to a lad who worked on the construction of the stadium and worked for them up until a year a go. There is an electronic ticket system at the stadium but it's never been used!!! The coloured ticket thing won't work as all the tickets stolen are from all over the ground. Its madness, the club are over a barrel and as usual it looks like the fans are going to pay. When the FA bring out their guest of honour on Saturday they should be made aware how unhappy the fans are.

Rumours abound that they're not actually doing anything with the stolen tickets just replacing the stolen ones with the remaining balance, so there'll be the less for the ballot....

I was never a big fan of signing him, but if as Leo suggests the fee is less than £5m then it represents a cracking bit of business. If Rafa can get his (Pennant's) head together then it'll be a great deal. The lad has a very ropey past and has been given a few last chances. This move has to represent his last chance at making it big - if he stuffs up he is a bigger fool then I ever thought.

Don't bring Wenger into a Houllier argument - he might of signed Jeffers for 10 mil but he unearthed Anelka and Vieria and sold both on at a huge profit. He also made a stack on Petite and Overmars not to mention what he has done with Henry. The list is endless with him for every Upsom/Pennant/Jeffers he has a Vieria/Fabregas/Henry. Ged won a lot of cups and for that I'm grateful but the majority of his transfer dealings were balls. He may also of signed alot of Istanbul lads but he was in no way responsible for that victory. I loved Ged but I could see his failings and in the end he had a lot.

We owe a big part of our new league form to him but I still think he can do better. Seems very popular amongst the the players as well. B
