Ah, don't give up so easily Being honest, my views on Konate are not extreme, but certainly out of step with most, and I recognise that. I don't rate him, for my own reasons and and stand by them. Either way, Liverpool seem not to want to give him a bumper contract which I think is also telling, and he clearly rates himself very highly and / or, Like Trent, has no interest in actually staying. I don't think Konate will be in the starting 11 next season. I'm not sure many would disagree with that based on the current situation and the fact we tried to sign Guehi (even though I think Guehi is Virgil's long term replacement).

Then how do you know "Konate is better at everything else"? Guehi is also a leader and an organiser on the pitch, with far superior positional knowledge. Konate is big and strong and plays with Virg. Honestly, I think Konate would look bang average if he was playing for Palace instead.

He's not faster, or anywhere near as good on the ball. Guehi is the better CB, although moot point if we don't get him.

We won't miss him, easily replaceable. Buy Guehi in Jan and bin him.

It just makes no sense for Guehi himself to move in Jan. He'll have a larger list of clubs to choose from in the summer and he'll get much bigger signing on fee and wages. Additionally, if he's pissed off at Parish, this is how he gets back at him also. Don't be surprised to see Parish try and force him out in Jan though as he needs th ££.
