  1. Never known so much to be made of so little by so many The 'in the knows' there are almost like characters out of a pantomime
  2. Thats not been the difference, refereeing decisions have been absolutely marginal taken throughout the season. This thread and some of the deluded comments in it are laughable and childish. With the exception of the last couple of months we have not matched the ambition or self belief of United. We've played lower placed teams without the same conviction. Things are changing and it bodes well for next season, but cherry picking individual poor decisions by officials and creating some kind of conspiracy theory over it is not only plainly wrong but in danger of making us a laughing stock then again If you only see what you want to see, its hardly surprising,
  3. So then, Webb and Styles are bent, corrupt, call it what you will. The FA too, those journo's in the media who have criticised us at sometime, anyone else while we are at it, Never heard so much absolute paranoid b****x in my life
  4. I dont believe referees are bent, sometimes they are incompetent and sometimes they bottle it, but bent , no You talk to united supporters and they'll tell you of all the times they think decisions have gone against them and sometimes they are right. We.ve had a fair share - the classic was Stevie's inspriational dive against Athletico earlier this season, that was truly the worst decision I've seen for ages s*** happens, but United will drop points yet
  5. Probably using the whole thnig to deflect attention away from the fact he's taking Blackburn into the championship
  6. The circumstances behind this game were different to what they would be throughout the season. Nothing was expected of Arsenal, they were playing away with a depleted side and with nothing to lose, we had to win so the dynamics were different. You're skewing the argument. Not even I would advocate a 90 minute full frontal assault every match against whoever we play, but the performances over the last few weeks have shown a different side to what we have been used to under Rafa. This year we closed the gap substantially on our rivals by beating them in the head to heads, but we've let ourselves down against the lower placed teams because we never went for the juggular I dont want to see the result tonight against Arsenal to pave the way for a return to an overly defensive mind set which has seen us through in Europe but taken us off the pace in the league
  7. We are beginning to play the kind of football we need to take the league. I hope we carry this forward next year. Results such as last night will inevitably go against us, but in the main, the points we would have won had we not been so cautious in the first part of the season would more than compensate for the points dropped here. We have a range of attacking options to die for, why under utilize them. Europe is a different matter of course
  8. Its breathless stuff, if we play like this next year we will blow away the mid and lower table sides There are still twists in this campaign as well
  9. If 2 premiership managers launching unsubstantiated and personal attacks on another premiership manager in an attempt to unsettle him at a key point in the seasons campaign is not bringing the lm,a into dispute, then wtf is? This should have serious repercussions but of course it wont. Rafa's earlier complaint about the undue influence of Ferguson is completely justified
  10. I see this as the first sign of Rafa's strengthened position with regards to the Board

    Dirk

There are aspects of his game which he will always be pulled up on, he's not an individual I would call as world class, but he is a very important part of the way we play overall. I think thats what is trying to be said
  12. Arsenal is a key game and for a number of reasons. I'm tired of reading about must win games, but actually, if we do beat Arsenal on tuesday the pressure on United will be greater than at any point this season and they are really not playing well at all. The funny thing is, after all this talk about the quintuple and the 5 player nominations, United's season could nosedive just as spectacularly, thats the risk, and thats why Ferguson has stooped to a really bitter low in his very personal attacks against Rafa. I hold Benitez responsible for our dip around the xmas period and I'm not going to be swayed away from that, but the response since then has been breathtaking and the results and attitude he's instilled in the team are simply a credit to him. He deserves this title more than Ferguson and if he does get it in this year, of all years, it would be immense
  13. Just like to say I agree He's been a complete jerk but I get the feeling he is genuinely sorry for it. Its an episode thats actually best forgotten because it mars so many positives that came out of the memorial for me. He just didnt understand the occasion and what it means to the club so its best he leaves.
  14. Well I think its sinister. Its clear to me that Allardyce is lying when he claims he was humiliated by Benitez, if so, why wait the best part of a week to express his humiliation. Fact is we got knocked out the Champions league on Tuesday and can concentrate on the run in so Ferguson renews hostilities by getting his fat friend to feign injury and malign Benitez in a co-ordinated personal attack This brings the LMA into complete disrepute if these false allegations are allowed to stand unchallenged I think the so called mind games is pathetic enough, but this takes it to a new level I hope Rafa keeps his focus - we really need it now Win the league, that'll shut the c*** up
  15. I'm sorry I hate being cynical, perhaps that means something to some people and if it does fair enough but it just makes me want to puke violently. Frankly I'd prefer him to keep his gob shut as its close to being patronising

  17. The fact the offer was made to help united is surely a concern
  18. The United manipulation turns into overdrive Apparently press are reporting Ronaldo is being kicked out because of weak refereeing Funny wonder what Danny Murphy's view of the poor lamb is Also sky offered to put Uniteds game against Villa on 12.30am Saturday Manipulation, what manipulation

  20. I love Redcafe its the perfect antidote at times, the scouser boom and bust chart wheeled out at the start of the season was particularly funny unless you have your head permanently stuck up your a*** that is. Funnier still is that they are a mirror image of RAWK in fact they could all be part of one huge dysfunctional family and no, I see no problem in browsing their site whatsoever
  21. Actually, ''all mouth and no action'' is more your typical Brit, in fact all mouth and three years delay to decide how not to sell the family jewels was the start of our downfall and it wasn't a Yank who was responsible for that. But I do think generally that many Americans have a different perspective on club ownership than in Europe and the model doesn't easily lend itself to the mentality here
  22. Thats almost exactly to a word what was said to me by a manc supporting cretin at work (if you take out the ''its weird but all of a sudden'' bit), just the day after they 'hammered' Inter at OT, just thought I'd mention it in passing
  23. Whilst generally I can put up with Mr Collymore in small doses as at least he tries to give it a fans perspective rather than the arsey know it all Stevie Claridge / Gabby Marcotti smugfest. I do think someone perhaps ought to remind him that it was Mr Abramovich who conducted Chelsea's transfer policy for 3 years not the 'not so special one' God even I knew that
  24. Whilst Silva is undoubtedly a gifted player he does seem to have a bit of a problem keeping his temper I think we'll see a shift towards home based players like the likes of Lennon, Ireland, Johnson etc purely on the basis of Blatters latest brainstorm, which to be fair has a bit more going for it compared to his previous ideas about making female players shower before they come on the pitch and wear tighter shorts
  25. The most important thing now is that we have a good manager and stability for the forseeable future Now about the rotation and the control freakery
