Shankly had already been at the club for 16 years when he resigned what would have happened had he been released after 5 years. Plus there was someone in the wings who could take over and keep the club progressing. Losing Rafa may not be the end of the world but IMO it would set us back immensly.
I haven't seen anything on this so as anyone heard how Phil Thompson is? Was watching football saturday, or whatever its called, and Jeff Shreeves said that Thommo was in hospital in Dubai with gall stone or it might have been kidney stones.
What about the season tickets that should go back if someone dies, instead someone in the family takes it on. They should wait their turn on the waiting list.
