This exercise is not the best way of deciding on Player Of The Season. Lucas has been one of our best three players on the pitch more than any other player this season, but it does not take into consideration his overall performance game in, game out. Firmino could have been our 4th best player for 90% of the other games and it is not registered in this method. Lucas could have been our worst player on the field in those games. The best way of doing it, but which would take Morse a lot of time to calculate, would be to give each player a rating for each game and then see who has the highest average. I love the way many Man U fans are assuming he will be a success. I can see quite a few significant obstacles along his path. A rough start is all he needs and questions will be asked.
