  1. More than that, it stops opposing teams from just adopting the tactic of fouling us when we get 25 yards from goal, knowing that our set pieces are w***.
  2. I'm not sure why you didn't expect it though, considering you've been so negative in general about hiring decisions and BR's decision making.
  3. Yes you are. It's not a rollercoaster because you have no idea how O'Driscoll is going to do. You're just dramatically expecting the worst, as seems par for the course with you lately.
  4. But he didn't get sacked. So you think it would have been better to just go into next season with the exact same backroom staff in place rather than shaking things up? You're depressing yourself. Worse, you're enjoying the attention it's getting you.
  5. How on earth did he hide behind them? He is absolutely not the last manager in the world, in any industry, to recognize that for him to improve he needed to improve the people around him. Sacking your assistants isn't necessarily throwing them under the bus and hiding behind them.
  6. The last coaches were his pick too, so there goes that s***e theory.
  7. I like this position.
  8. Do I think it's a coincidence? No I think we pay much more attention to all things Liverpool than any other football club, so we're aware of it. Peter Kenyon got just as much credit for Chelsea at many times. So does Levy for Spurs. So did Wenger re: Sanchez last summer. The reality is that Ayre closed the deal, so that's part of what people are going to talk about and part of what journalists are going to write about. Ayre hasn't written a mini-autobiography about it.
  9. Cobs has already made the best reply to this, it's hardly self-serving for a journalist to write something. And you're missing the point that today compared to 5, 10, 20, 40 years ago, EVERYTHING is news, it's all about hits and ad revenue. So naturally there are more stories about LFC today than at any other point in history.
  10. Give 3 examples. Also, who gives a s***?
  11. Well that's a pile of dramatic nonsense. Pre-Milner he's the only player in our squad who has won a title. Sure that experience is looked upon favourably by the Club, even if it's just off the pitch.
  12. Don't get your point, we're clearly after a striker and have already got 2 new ones coming in.
  13. Probably time to consider the possibility that part of FSG's attempt to create an uncomfortable workspace was locking him in a cellar with no access to the outside world. He'll resign eventually.
  14. Why does it matter?
  15. Said the same after their post-season meeting. Think they've made BR more of a 'head coach' instead of a manager, which is probably a good move. Still need someone other than Ayre to fill in that gap though.
  16. I don't feel why people feel the need to be a dick on the rare good days that we have.
  17. It all makes sense now.
  18. Don't know how old you are, but you would have led a boring life as a fan before the '90s then. Was bloody bouncing when we signed John Barnes, I'd only seen him once 3 years earlier.
  19. s*** like this is so annoying.
  20. Bacca does look like a proper striker.
  21. No they're not. Having worked for and been a shareholder in a multi-billion dollar company, nobody knew in advance when a head was going to roll or when a new one was coming in.
  22. I agree with all of that Smithy.
  23. Didn't Sterling act the t*** a bit during our move for him when he was at QPR?
