Gonzalez may well be an improvement on Kewell for a start.

I think Rafa & Parry have learned from last years mistakes in the transfer market. But with so many factors involved when players move - its hardly likely to be a smooth ride.

Regarding Rafa's 'flops' Nunez - did a job, and was sold for the same amount or more. Josemi - swapped for Kromkamp sooner rather than later, and now it looks like we are quids in. Morientes - disappointed, but lets see where he ends up. Still reckon Rafa will get us a deal when he moves on.

after what ES said about Harry being strapped up to to train/play... I think we'll see a lot more of Gonzalez than you think. I reckon Harry was kept this season purely because Gonzalez didn't come. Harry is still a big risk in terms of his injury record. The problem has not been solved. I'm surprised he played as many games as he did.

Lot of assumptions made there... Chelsea don't think SWP is 1st team material, so why would they be so reluctant for him join us? For all Chelsea know, the alternatives Rafa is looking at for right mid could be better than SWP (all a matter of opinion of course).

the latest on RAWK seems to be that the TO don't really know which tickets have been stolen which suggests that none of them will be cancelled. i.e. those with stolen tickets will get in. One lad called the TO and they told him his ticket had been stolen, but the tickets arrived this morning! He called the TO again and they confirmed the tickets ARE valid.
