Has manager Rafael Benitez spoken to you much since you've been at the club? Yes, he has been very encouraging in training. We play first team against reserves and the manager will take you to one side and give you encouragement and it makes me feel very happy. Sounds challenging...

SkySports - Walcott suprised by attention Theo Walcott's agent insists the Southampton teenager is surprised by all the speculation surrounding his client. Arsenal and Chelsea are thought to be battling it out for Walcott's signature with Southampton confirming they have had two offers for the forward. Walcott's representative Warwick Horton admitted the youngster is shocked by all the attention on him, but that he is ambitious to play at the highest level. "I think he's been very surprised with the interest and hype around himself," Horton told Sky Sports News. "The fact he's scored goals live on Sky against Luton and also in the FA Cup last week and also scoring on his debut at Leeds has created a lot of interest. "The timing is never perfect, he loves Southampton as a club and it has been an unsettling time for the player. "But he is an ambitious lad and wants to train and play with the best players so he can try and take his career onto the next level. "I think it is well documented that Arsenal have got an interest in the player, but it is really between the two clubs at the moment to discuss that matter." When asked if Arsenal was Walcott's preferred option, Horton was remaining coy saying: "I think the lad feels⿦ that's a difficult question to answer." Horton believes the youngster has the potential to be as a good as Wayne Rooney. "He's got potential to be as successful as Rooney, but he would probably liken himself to Henry just due to the style of play and pace, but certainly he would aspire to be as successful as Wayne," added Horton.

We'll never see him again...

It's exactly this kind of thing that Rafa and/or Parry are trying to change. If Dudek was a Tottenham player, how much would they sell him for? I see no reason why we shouldn't sell for the same amount. If we let quality internationals like Dudek leave for pennies, we probably won't be able to afford that little bit extra to get the player(s) we want. It's a vicious circle, which Rafa & Rick are trying hard to break.

b******s is it. Thats Mourinho's

We should've signed a Right Winger in the summer. We didn't. Window is now open again, but its more difficult because clubs are reluctant to sell now. It looks like Rafa is not too bothered if we miss out again, but if we do then it will be a priority in the summer.

Did anyone see Gerrard breaking away & having a fit at Xabi because he didn't pass when struck his second? After a couple of double takes he realised he'd just witnessed a piece of brilliance and applauded!!

He's not great in the air though, as Kilbane demonstrated on Wednesday..

Great stuff - the speculation IS boring... Posts merged: You really are the copy & paste king!

It's means he's started more on the bench than on the field. By my count he's made 16 starts, and 18 on the bench (or not in the squad)
