Ah, cool. I didn't know about our response banner - couldn't even see the Kop from where I was (hard up against the wall in the Centenary). It was great to see the Celtic banner in the flesh though.

It seemed deathly quiet where I was (Upper Centenary, against the wall at the Kop end). I even had the misfortune to actually see a person wearing a jester hat. /o\ Hardly heard any noise, and I'm far too much of a shrinking violet to start any myself.

I don't see how. Surely we won 4 under the original format. So if anything it's like saying we've only won 4 European Cups. It's only been about 10 years in its current format. I know what you mean, though. Yes the Premiership is equivalent to what was Division One. If anything, it might be easier to win as there are fewer teams in competition. However, to me it still feels like a trophy we have not won.

I'd give up the CL this season if it meant we'd win the Premiership next season. The Premiership has to be the main focus, for me. We've never won it. Yeah, 18 league titles, but history is history. Despite what some claimed after Istanbul, we're still not back on our perch. I wouldn't give up any chance of winning the CL for the next ten years just for one Premiership title, though. That's just crazy talk.

Yeah, what are these new-fangled decimal things? What does 5.4 mean in real "one in X chances" odds?

I don't like hearing Liverpool Football Club called a "sports franchise".

I can't claim it's a tragedy, but I am somewhat disappointed. I was excited by the prospects following from the DIC bid. I know little of Gillett or his bid, so I'm not enthusiastic about it. Ho hum, as ever, I'll assume that those with responsibility for the club are best placed to make the right decisions. I may be wrong, but there's little I can do about it. Oh, except say "sack Moores" or something.

Gerrard one is made worse by people singing 'hard'; I reckon it's 'ours'. Gerrard's never struck me as 'hard', anyway. Certainly not in a Vin Jones or what's his face from Man U stylee, anyway. I like The Reds are Coming up the Hill (or whatever if that's not the correct title), but I don't know all the words. I only know the bit I picked up at the airport on my flight out to stanbul, 'cause a bunch of young lads were singing it. Never seems to be sung when I'm at the match (I only get to home games).
