  1. I think it's a fair comment. That was my nightmare scenario. If we did lose to Milan, it'd hurt like feck, but I could handle it. Losing to United in the final though... It's moot, now, and anyway we're gonna stuf Milan again. Dey're s****.
  2. OK, can I say "Bye-bye United" now?
  3. How's that? They'd need to score 3, now. As it is, they only need 2 to take it to extra time at least. Or was it sarcasm? =)
  4. Bye, bye, United. See you in Athens, Milan.
  5. Oooh, nearly a 3rd there.
  6. Excellent. Better quality than a YouTube presentation, too.
  7. So, when do the tickets for the final go on sale? Come on, tell me! I need to know! I've got all my home game stubs for this season's run, so fingers crossed there will still be tickets left once the people with away games have had their fill. Managed to get to Istanbul despite missing a home group match. I assume there will be the same Lonsdale travel package deals for those of us that want to take the easy route. Any ideas? Nothing on the official site yet. OK, they've only just got in to work no doubt, but I'm anxious. It'll be gutting if I don't make the final - the same with most posters here, I expect.
  8. Oh yeah, that new Campione chant just doesn't seem to work yet. People tried it many times tonight, but everyone seems to want to chant it at different paces, so it always turns into a complete mess. It didn't help that our nearby wall drummer (block 207) had all the rhythm and timing of a lettuce. Rather than keeping everyone in time, he kept getting out of time and confusing people.
  9. My throat hurts. By the end of the night I wasn't so much singing as croaking my way through the songs. Random pitch changes as my vocal chords struggled to keep it up. The sing-song we had at the end of the match was great. We're all going to Athens, we're all going to Athens! Up until tonight, none of the matches I'd been to this season came close to recreating the atmosphere of the games I went to in 2005, such as Olympiakos, Juventus and Chelsea. But tonight was the first time this season I managed to get Kop tickets, and I think tonight was on a par with the best of 2005. The penalty shoot-out reminded me of Istanbul, too. Great memories, old and new. God, I love knocking Chelsea out of the Champions League. Bring on AC Milan (please)!
  10. Istanbul cost me more than £800. Only about £60 of that was the match ticket, mind.
  11. I know you did, but you also said "snitching's snitching and is never right in any circumstances." I take it that you are now back-tracking, and accept that snitching is clearly the correct thing to do in some circumstances.
  12. Grow up. "Snitching" is definitely right in some circumstances. This is one of them. People get away with things because others let them. If you know someone had raped a woman, would you keep that to yourself, too?
  13. Ooooh, campione The one and only We're Liverpool They say our days are numbered, we're not famous any more But scousers rule the country like we've always done before (yeah, the last line is particularly crap, but I'll sing it I suppose) We haven't won at Stamford Bridge in recent years, so coming away with a win was always a tall order. A draw would have been great, but at least we're not more than 1-0 down. Without some great stuff from Reina, we could easily be significantly worse off. We beat them 2-0 at Anfield in the Premiership in January, there's no reason that we can't do it again. COME ON!

Me too - 4 in a row, block 207. \o/ I also managed to get into the Kop for all of the 2005 games - and what games they were - but first time this season I think. Mostly been in the upper centenary. Aye, but not everyone that has been to all the home games will be able to go to Athens anyway (time away from work, cost, etc.), so the gap might not be too big. For the 2005 final I only had 5 qualifying stubs rather than 6, but I still managed to get an official package for Istanbul.

w00t, I just go through on the phone and 85 minutes of pressing the feckin' redial. Got my tickets. \o/ Good luck to those still trying.

Yeah, I got the normal "we're busy" page earlier, but now I just get DNS errors and "403 Forbidden" errors. Obviously the phone line is busy too. Got to just keep plugging away with fingers crossed.

  18. I prefer "Drawing all our power from the mighty Spion Kop" to "But scousers rule the country". In fact, I think the final agreed version is "a bit crap". Who says our days are numbered? Who says we're not famous any more? The "days are numbered" thing might be a reference to The Reds are Coming up the Hill, but still... I suppose that as a chant is has power, and the words don't have to withstand scrutiny. Just as well.
  19. Which petition is it, then? The one linked from the Echo's story (http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/MichaelCShields/) with 800 signatures, or the one you've linked to Will (http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/MicahelShields/) with 32? I assume the former, from the Echo's link, but I'm confused as to the relevance of the latter.
  20. What? What? Step out at the start of the season, be offered "3rd place in the Premieship and a semi-final place in the CL" and accept that before a ball as been kicked? No. No f*cking way. 3rd place and another CL title... Possibly, but I think I'd rather kick off the season believing we will win the Premiership.
  21. =) There were some. I joined in, but they soon fizzled out. I just don't have the b******s to start things off myself. Feckin' OOTer that I am.
  22. Well, as I said before, I couldn't even see the Kop. Not even the front row, so the blind bit isn't the answer. I was definitely there. Block CE9, row 15, seat 0239. Stone deaf? Must be that, then. We've almost completely failed to get Kop tickets this campaign. For the 2005 run, my mate and I were in the Kop for all the home games. Olympiakos, Juventus, Chelsea amongst others. I reckon we were spoilt that season. Some of the very best atmospheres I've had the pleasure to be part of, if not the best (Istanbul notwithstanding). I know what the Kop's like in full voice, but didn't get a sniff of it last night. I was pretty disappointed, really, 'cause the game felt rather an anticlimax. I hope I get in the Kop for Chelsea.
  23. That link now says: Wednesday, 25 April 2007 Chelsea v Liverpool, 19:45 Tuesday, 01 May 2007 Liverpool v Chelsea, 19:45 Don't panic, Mr. Mainwaring.
  24. We need the kid from Kollaboration 2001 to play Crouchy. Again with the stilts.
  25. No, not at all. I was in the upper Centenary, row 15, seat 39, so we were right up against the concrete wall at the Kop end of the stand. We couldn't even see any of the Kop, let alone hear them. Honestly, it was very, very quiet from where I was sitting. Couldn't hear it.
