    There was a theory that he’d move to Madrid after a season but IIRC it was tied to something like a sponsorship deal between Real and Nike (Real currently with Adidas). Barcelona couldn’t have stopped the move last summer though - PSG paid his release clause. Which is precisely what happened when Figo transferred from Barcelona as the original ‘galatico’.

    Ha! Oh what might have been!!! That one still annoys me no end. Rafa’s greatest error imo (even worse than not starting Crouch in a certain match that we won’t mention). Know he didn’t go at the time but it showed the seeds for what happened the following summer.

    Think they said we definitely haven’t resumed talks with Lyon. They were briefed after the Mirror ran a story saying we had done just that. We’ve been pretty quiet on this since the day he wasnt signed and have kept our briefing to a minimum. Indications from Fekir camp seem to suggest he’s still keen. Further developments to come on this one I think.
