  1. Just as a 'possibility'? Sorry for all the questions - always annoying that the echo doesn't get published online on a Sat!!!
  2. Any other nuggets in that article David? Surprised about this - couldn't see us signing both him and Kuyt in the summer.
  3. Yeah I think they have - when was the last time you saw that happen? Their defences aren't good enough to take that approach anymore.
  4. In all honesty I thought we'd be setting our sights higher this summer. He's more a second striker than an out and out goalscorer. Would have him bottom of the list of strikers that we've been linked to so far, taking into account his style of play, his probable price and his attitude. I doubt we'd get him for less than £10 million anyway and there are better options out there for that much. Oh and Jeff Stelling just mentioned this link on Sky Sports a few mins ago.
  5. Oi - you left out the Irish - although if everyone could get tickets we probably wouldn't want them - not much of a tout market in those circumstances you see.
  6. Well they did but it's had a few come backs - I was more talking about the approach to the game than the traditional 'catenaccio' formation though John, ie get a one nil lead and then play the game out in anyway possible.
  7. That is pure brilliant - takes a deep thinker to come up with something like that.

  9. Think that was about it - also that GH had lost the dressing room, etc, etc.
  10. Can we add that to the list of forum lore.
  11. I very much doubt United actually bid 20 million for Xabi.
  12. That would be nice but probably only going to happen if they go down... which would obviously upset our Xabi - and we can't have that!!!!
  13. Just content yourself with the knowledge that it wasn't Gravy who was correct, it was Crevosiaur (sp).
  14. I think he'll probably end up with Gary Neville levels of abuse on Sunday and he'll either play a stormer or get incredibly frustrated and lash out (or spit).
  15. I think the Alves murmurings seem the most accurate. And I'm still not discouting Pennant either. That said I don't think the SWP thing is completely out the equation - I tend to believe there was some serious discussion of the subject between LFC and Chelsea around January. Might be wishful thinking. To be honest all I want is a right mid who gets good crosses in consistantly - not really looking for a player who has to keep beating his man - that would just be a bonus.
  16. Very disappointed news about Paco Herrara - seems to be a brilliant scout and has obviously had a big effect on the reserves this season.
  17. Sorry not buying that - he stated on more than one occasion that he just wasn't interested. Rafa doesn't do that when he is interested in a player. Why would Jaoquin be any different, especially seeing as Rafa's interest or not is hardly likely to affect his price?

  19. Yeah but I don't like the idea of Gibson being happy.
  20. I don't think they are listening to us Sammya
  21. Carlos is on his way back to Brazil isn't he - supposedly been on his way since very early on this season. Would have thought Graveson is the most likely player to leave Real this summer, following by Carlos, followed by Ronaldo.
  22. I'd take an Owen as well
  23. Neville to us, although that would be unlikely from both sides!
  24. Do the people who post that get it pointed out to them what club he is going to?
  25. Not sure I agree with you on Zidane there Stevie. He had been the outstanding player for Bordeaux the season before he went to Juve when that Bordeaux side won the UEFA Cup (either won it or got to the final anyway). Juve had basically signed him up as far as the season before that though and when other teams were looking to sign him Bordeaux were basically saying it was a done deal with Juve. No arguement with you on this really - I just didn't agree with the general point of the thread. As others have said, both arguements are probably true.
