  5. I think he just needs a couple of goals to regain his confidence and there’s no better games for him to do that than the next three.

  7. I'd be very surprised if we signed him. He'd still want £200k per week and if we think it's a matter of time before his knee falls apart, then the time that possibly happens is now even closer. Also I just don't remember a transfer falling apart due to a medical and then the club signing him anyway shortly after.
  8. He had his best performances (not that there were many) there.
  9. Should be going with his other hand there surely
  10. He'd have been ideal. But then I'm sure if Klopp really wanted a replacement then we'd have one so fingers crossed we've got enough.
  11. Hope that doesn't happen.
  12. Maybe Klopp thinks we're okay in that position but was just a massive fan of Fekir? There's been zero links to anyone else in that position so not sure what other explanation there is (I don't believe we've spent all the money available). I think we've left ourselves short though.
  13. Maybe Klopp is happy with his options but Fekir was just a standout player who he was a huge fan of. Until we found out he had half a knee. Either way I don't believe Klopp doesn't have money to go out and get another player if he really wanted to.
  14. Asked if Sanchez looks unhappy he said “do you want him to be happy with the players he has around him?” He’s no Tony Robbins that’s for sure
  15. It’s not that unbelievable. It’s more detailed but ultimately he’s just re-iterating what he’s said since the medical issue, we’re not interested anymore.
  16. Because it's not my money and all I'm concerned about is next season. And as of right now, he's fine. I just want another player, whether it's him or someone else (I only say him because Klopp clearly wanted him 5-6 weeks ago - I've barely seen him play).
  17. Doesn't really change the initial point though. We thought it was serious enough to pull out of a deal where a player had already done media with LFC.tv. Based on that, I don't see us signing him either this window or the next. I can't remember any player failing a medical and then signing for the club a month or two later anyway. The only possibility is that it's on significantly reduced terms to account for risk of injury in the future. In which case, I don't see Lyon agreeing to that, seeing as he's their captain. Having said al that I still hope we sign him as he's OK right now and all I'm concerned about is this season.

  19. There's a huge difference. I doubt a single person here was content with ward starting
  20. Were they though? Or were they rationalising him starting ahead of Karius presuming they're the only options? Big difference.
  21. Can’t wait for the season now this is sorted. Was a bit of a struggle after the final and knowing Karius might be starting again. The mourning is defo over now.
  22. Yeah I don’t see it either. If he’s failed a medical then the only way we’d go ahead is if it’s incentive based and can’t see them selling their captain if they’re not guaranteed the whole amount. It’d be a shame though as it really would be the best summer I can ever remember if we got him (it’s still up there even without).
  23. If we don’t sign him I assume it’d be Keita or Lallana as the furthest forward of the three in midfield? Considering Lallana’s injuries over the last year or so and AOC out for the season, it does leave us a little light. Would also mean Shaqiri would have a much bigger role to play than maybe we thought. I don’t want to be relying on Sturridge or Origi at all.
  24. Basically couldn’t praise him enough. Said he was a phenomenal goalkeeper and we’d be getting as good a keeper as there is. Great season last year etc. Was asked about any negatives and didn’t have any. I know it’s just one person’s opinion but he’s seen a lot more of him than I have so was good to hear.
