I think his days are numbered - dont get me wrong I will be surprised if he actually is sold so soon but as has been said many a time he doesnt fit into our system, he lacks pace and a footballing brain. Unfortunately he is not dynamic enough.

That lob from Suarez was absolute class - in anything deserved a goal that did. The opening 20 odd mins of the second half was some of the best football I have seen us play all season, so unlucky not to double our lead.

Got my first bit of inside info today - woohoo I was talking to my brother in law today and it turns out he knows Jordon Ibe (the 16 year old kid from we were linked with from Wycombe) Dad. He was saying that both Chelsea and ManU were after him and offered alot more money but his Dad is a huge LFC fan and took great pleasure in telling them they could offer whatever they liked but he was signing for us!

If it was Chris Hughton then that explains it (i think) he wasnt sacked immediately just relieved of his role as the manager iirc

Got an early christmas present yesterday, back in the dark days when it looked like his days were numbered I opened an account with Coral and placed a £20 bet @ 4/1 on him being the next manager to be sacked (like a load of us did I am sure). Anyways he wasnt sacked for at least another 4-6 weeks iirc and inbetween that time another Prem manager was also let go (I cant remember who exactly). As you can imagine that made the whole situation even more annoying, I forgot about said bet and added the £20 to the pain the t*** had cost me! Yesterday I get an email from Coral telling me I had some money in my account - I havent used it since and thought maybe there is a few quid left in there from when I added the funds to it...I log in and see the bet had paid out! Woohoo

Thats what i was thinking, I am sure there were some pictures or the like shared of other incidents which resulted in nothing from the FA JimBoardman Jim Boardman Kenny on accusations (in general) about Suarez: "If they cannot beat him on the pitch they're going to try and get into people's minds."

Exactly last year it was all about movement, interplay and intelligent football - last night had moments of that but more often than not with Carroll he either wasnt in position or wasnt able to control the ball or do anything constructive with it.

Exactly, I agree Suarez needs to score more but he is one of the only creative players we have in our team! Not only does he work his balls off for the entire match, tirelessly chasing down defenders and applying pressure he regularily sets up chances for other players (who atm appear to be missing all of them!). Last night he created at least two guilt edged chances for Carrol who did the usual and fluffed or wasnt quick enough (in body or mind). As others have said its not a dilemma anymore, Carroll is not good enough, he doesnt suit our style of play and he continues to prove that every time he plays. He is not mobile enough, lacks game intelligence and for someone of his size and build he very rarely wins a header even when he has a clear run at defenders (like last night). There have been comparisons to Crouch on this thread, If I could swap Carroll for Crouch I would - even when he wasnt scoring he contributed to the team and got involved. He was crap in the air but his ability on the deck made up for that, I hope we get rid in Jan. I am sure its going to cost us a few pennies but I dont see him being kept in the squad as an option - afterall he provided little impact when he is on the pitch.

Average at best tonight - flat footed, wasteful - its the usual with him, doesnt anticipate play and always looks knackered

Thats my biggest concern - wasted chances again and again - Carrol was average at best t again I know the Ref was a w***** but we should have buried at least one of our chances in the first half
