  5. I heard some of that, the thing he mentioned about AVB telling Drogba he was only keeping him around because he was good with youth players (or similar) was just unreal. TBH its hard to know whats true, especially as everyone knows there are so many egos at the club and there not exactly known for standing by there manager.
  6. I guess so...I didnt watch the last 45 mins so must have missed the part where they werent owned by total w*****s.

  8. i would be absolutely gutted if he went to Chelsea - i really hope it doesnt happen.
  9. Its a behind the scenes documentary about QPR and them wanting to get into the PL, OMG the chumps in charge, it defies belief. At one point the owner is on the phone to the assistant manager telling him to put on another striker - LOL Lets hope they get relegated

I agree but all of those with the exception of Enrique were scouted & identified under the previous regime, even Luis was identied by Rafa, but iirc there were quite a few changes when Comolli took over. I am not sure how far reaching those changes were, we definitely appeared to be targeting local players this year. BTW i am not questioning the signing of Adam at 6m you cant argue with that but he should be a squad player and not starting every game. I think we did good deals for Enrique who despite his recent blip has played really well, as for Coates he is one for the future so no issues there either. As for Bellamy, great business...the issue is that the big money signings Carrol, Downing and Henderson have failed and unfortunately thats what Kenny and Comolli will be judged on.
  11. Tis in the Kenny thread from Steve Zizzou: Kenny and I love him wont be in charge July 1st 2012, Comolli and Ayre are here long term as are the owners. Henderson, Downing, and Carroll were signed as starters but if it didn't work out which it hasn't we still have good ENGLISH squad players to fill the quota put in place before we signed them we filled squad with youth players, as far as I know another 100 million summer coming with lots leaving. Take it or leave it just passing on what I was told. Who knows
  12. Its been confirmed, Matteo taking over till the end of the season. Pep to take over in the Summer? I hope not! I am happy its not Rafa...I wonder if there is something in this Kenny rumour.

I agree with Comolli & Kenny, its hard to know whether the issue lies with the players being identified or Kenny making the wrong choices. Comolli has said a number of times that the final decision is down to the manager...that loops back to my initial point. There are definite question marks over the scouting network, especially when you consider the prices we paid in the Summer.

I dont think it requires major re-building but there do need to be some changes, if anything I am more concerned about Commoli than Ayre.

Exactly, Henderson is a neat and tidy player but does not offer a goal threat atm. I agree Raul wasnt world class but he did have a habit of being in the right place at the right time, he offered good movement and was always making runs into the box. He also had a great shot on him...and would test the keeper from the edge of the box quite often. Though Henderson had a good game yesterday, there were still times when I was crying out for him to shoot or drive into the box, its keeps being said but he needs to impose himself on a game. As soon as that starts happening regularily he will silence alot of his critics. Also, I dont see Raul as the answer to our CM issues, but he would be a great option behind Suarez or at the front of a diamond.

  17. I think today is a bit of an exception, as the chances we missed were guilt edged, but recently the amount of chances we have created has really tailed off. Also with the exception of today, alot of the chances we manafacture are not clear cut, they are difficult chances. If you have a higher level of quality in the team/squad you would hope that the chances you create are easier to convert. Carroll was a panic buy and we were crying out for a quality striker in January, not only that but we needed cover in central midfield too. Too top it off, we recalled Shelvey from his loan and he has hardly played, surely bringing him on for Adam would have been the thing to do today.
  18. Eh - whats going on now
  19. Thats what it all comes down too unfortunately, buy average players and then we wonder why we keep getting average results!
  20. Kuyt apart from the penalty miss played really well imo, he linked well with Luis and also created some good chances. A draw would have painful enough but for RVP to score like that - aaaarrrrgghhhhhh I actually thought Downing did ok, but thats the problem he doesnt get much better than ok, average at best
  21. I am so pissed off, after missing so many chances I knew it was going to happen. We were crying out strengthen in Jan and we did nothing, 2nd half management was poor. I am struggling to understand how we didnt make a change till the 88th minute.
  22. When did he say that?
  23. I am just pissed off, so wasteful as always. I know we have squad issues but Adam has been dire in the 2nd half, why is Bellamy coming on the 88th minute?
  24. Now Carrol comes on - lol
  25. RVP we f***ing deserve that
