I think today is a bit of an exception, as the chances we missed were guilt edged, but recently the amount of chances we have created has really tailed off. Also with the exception of today, alot of the chances we manafacture are not clear cut, they are difficult chances. If you have a higher level of quality in the team/squad you would hope that the chances you create are easier to convert. Carroll was a panic buy and we were crying out for a quality striker in January, not only that but we needed cover in central midfield too. Too top it off, we recalled Shelvey from his loan and he has hardly played, surely bringing him on for Adam would have been the thing to do today.
