f*** me that was the worst penalty i have ever seen (with the exception of Adam!) That bit in bold sums us up tbh, quite how he could go the whole season without a game - even a run out in the reserves is beyond me, new keeper, new team, new league - shows a lack of planning

I think its quite safe to assume when a side is in such a poor run of form, any manager would look to there most experienced players to turn it around and Carra is one of those. I agree he has been poor but I can see why he is being selected.

That Steven Martin chap from twitter mentioned the Pablo Amero link earlier today, i know there are mixed feelings about him but he does apparently know his stuff, I think he is on loan atm.

I agree with this, though not sure about the sackable part but it was a feck up of monumental proportions. Quite how he thought it was acceptable is beyond me, idiot and was one of the reasons it became what it was.

I think Johnson will be ok as he only recently signed a new contract, Agger should only be let go if we have a decent replacement lined up, otherwise I would rather keep him when fit he is first choice.

It was quite gutting seeing Kennys face towards the end of the game, our form since the new year is taking its toll. He looked totally devoid of ideas at the end

I agree, I think we were all expecting to see more of what we saw last season. I dont think Caroll is to blame but it looks like we are stuck between two systems...the one that works to the strengths of Suarez and the one for Caroll. We arent doing either very well (or at all tbh), though the players bought are definitely in the Caroll mould, ie lacking technical ability. Kuyt has been a great servant to the club and really flourishes when playing with "intelligent" players who offer good movement, we have lacked that all season.

I am not sure tbh, agree he wont challenge at RM or Barca but maybe one of the teams pushing for a CL place? I dont know, never seen him have such an extended loss of form, though in his defence, the likes of Carra & Skrtle havent been doing him any favours recently.

I think there were some great moments when he took over last season, we played some good football and I had hoped that we would look to buy "better" players who fit the same mould, towards the end of last season the likes of Raul, Maxi, Kuyt and Shelvey were used extensively alongside Suarez. We showed alot of movement and with Suarez leading the line we had lots of runners from midfield...we had some poor games, but there were positive signs - he earned his chance. I was always concerned that this situation may happen, knowing that he is a legend the last thing anyone wanted was for that to be tarnished in anyway. However the summers purchases have been debated to death, as has the system...gone is the movement and runners from midfield, we sit too deep and are too static in midfield. Hendo, Adam & Downing are not on the same level (technically) as the likes of Raul, Maxi and combined with a loss of form of Kuyt this is where we are. I also feel that we lack a game plan, the players dont appear to know how to play together. Though we havent seen it much recently watchin Enrique and Downing were a prime example, they kept getting in each others way...such simple things point to biggers issues imo.

His form has been poor this season, I honestly think he maybe off in the summer tbh

Thanks - From what I have been reading on the various threads - seems to me like bar Shelvey no players put in a shift or appeared to care, I always thought that one of Kennys main qualities was the ability to motivate the players and if thats not working then I think the end is nigh.
