Really good post, but I do have my concerns about AVB...alot of stories came out after he had left the Chavs about he had treated certain players and alienated alot of people at the club, I am sure some of them were purely spin but "no smoke without fire" etc.

Re AVB, apparently on talksport ( I know) they are saying he has been scouting players for us and has already met JWH and co. ffs my phone is driving me mad!

OMG what a day, really sad for Kenny he will always be a legend, gutted that it didnt work out for him this time. As for the list of possible candidates...it has to be Rafa, with the amount of changes made to the club (sacking people at will all over the place!) it can only be a well established manager. Who else would be able to bring in such a large management team? There is only one Martinez I want to see at anfield and its Javi! If we appoint the likes of Rodgers, Martinez, Lambert then we are in Hodgson territory and with him being FSGs choice they will stick by him unless he really f***s up. The wrong choice and we could be set back years...

Cheers, agree re Klopp think its unlikely in our current position and seems very committed to Dortmund. Kagawa is a marketing dream for Utd, if they get him on the cheap, he looks like a good player but the increased exposure in Asia would make them millions.

This whole saga needs to be concluded for my sanity tbh! Its strange that Barrett has changed his stance in such a big way over the course of an evening (maybe he has spoken to Kenny?). Regardless of the lack of public comms from FSG, it appears there still a tight ship...no one really knows what is going on. I have a few theories 1. There delaying any announcement until Kenny goes on holiday so he can escape the media attention. 2. Kenny has knocked back there offer to step aside, and they will be forced to do it the hard way if they want to get rid (Kenny knows this and is using that to his advantage - as he is entitled to do), this will become quite toxic imo. We do not need another power struggle at LFC, if FSG refuse to back him significantly then we have even bigger issues and our already weak squad will fall further behind over the coming months. 3. Kenny has agreed to change roles and has given him there blessing to approach a number of managerial targets (not very likely). 4. Kenny was prepared to step aside but found out they wanted to hire Martinez / Rodgers <insert unproven manager here>, knows he could do a better job and is playing hard ball (also not very likely) I agree some of the above are a bit out there, I think #2 is the most likely (as per Wayne and a few other posters) with an outside chance of #1.

In fairness he did say they were rumours - moreso than what he usually posts, he didnt used to tweet that often but more often than not he has been wrong!

FSG can feck off with that crap, they need to make a decision and get on with it - either back him fully or make the change, partially backing him will be a PITA for all involved.

Your not the only one mate, I think a good few people are feeling the same way, clueless is what springs to mind. If its true that they have asked Kenny to step aside and he refused, then you would think they have lined up a replacement management team already but like you say thats more of an expected outcome (or what any well run club would do in a situation like this). For all we know they may have lined up a number of individuals and are trying to do things the "right way" to ensure that it doesnt appear that Kenny is being pushed etc...but its all too fluffy atm. They have alot to prove an unfortunately this latest episode isnt helping.

The reason I am thinking this is that though we all despised Roy, they did make sure he had cleared out his belongings etc and left the area before making any announcement to try and spare him the media attention.
