Then we will need to wait till about 15:00ish, before anything official comes out. I expect whatever the announcement is will hit both NESN and LFC.TV at the same time. If it was business as usual I expect they would have quashed the rumours already.

Are you thinking, re-org announcement....Kenny moving into a different role with a new manager/staff being appointed on the same day?

Cheers Wayne I know a number of us want a change, but Kenny lives and bleeds LFC...it will be a sad day if the rumours are confirmed.

Not sure who he is but he does get the starting XI out well before KO pretty much every week (disclaimer I have only been following his tweets for about 5-6 weeks).

Was reported in one of the broadsheets yesterday, think it was either the Indy or Guardian

Sounds plausible, unless of course Clarke is being retained to work with the new manager (as others have said already - I personally think thats the case).

Niemeyer maybe mistaken, as others have why fly back into Heathrow

I can't link it on my phone but the Indy has a interesting article on the kenny trip, has some quotes from Skrtles agent and mentions the Rafa / Martinez rumours. Also states that Rafa hasn't been contacted...but does state that he wouldn't favour working as a DOF.

Guardian on the Kenny / Clarke going to see FSG, not much new tbh but they also confirm the Valero aspect (well in Wayne!). It also states that Kenny is going on holiday on Wednesday so I am sure any news / info will come out tonight or tomorrow. Guardian

Sure, but if you own a football club wouldnt you have a fair idea already? Do you need to wait till the end of the season to make that decision? Our league form has been attrocious since the new year...I am not saying they should have made the decision 2 months ago, but surely the last 3-4 weeks its something that needed to be discussed and a plan to remedy it put in place. Whether thats additional staff / coaches or a change in management they should already know, this meeting should be about either confirming said plans or simply confirming that improvement is required and to move on.
  16. I am not sure if you know i am being sarcastic or not Lets see what happens over the next week or 2, but until then I will have my doubts and concerns about what is going to happen this summer. Its a cynical / negative view on FSG i agree but they havent really filled me with much confidence so far. That could all change very quickly if it transpires that they had actually lined up a number of deals (with coaches/management/players etc) but currently its an unknown.
  17. Really good podcast, some really good points and reasoned debate - I was surprised that so many thought it would be best if he was no longer the manager. I am with Nick too unfortunately
  18. No I had no idea - thanks for clearing that up...............................................................

TBH I think Kenny will get another season, the meeting with FSG may have been planned but if they were going to ask him to resign/ step aside / move upstairs (whatever) FSG should have already made that decision. It appears to me that Kenny has no idea as to the decision (if he does then he is doing a great job of keeping it to himself, his recent comments have been defensive of the season and an expectation that things will improve next season). I maybe wrong and I keep banging this drum atm (apologies) but until proved otherwise FSG are showing a complete lack of forward planning in relation to all football manners, we all like to see immediate action but there has to be a strategy behind it.
  20. This is whats hacking me off, deals maybe announced made public over the next couple of weeks (at other clubs or perhaps with us) but they would have ongoing/ being finalised for the last 3-4 weeks...who exactly has been doing that for us? Bascombe (I know) says that all has been on hold since Comolli left...I cant help but think we are going to feck this up due to lack of planning from FSG.

Telegraph Sport ‏ @TelegraphSport John Henry was expected on Merseyside to discuss future plans, but Dalglish has instead gone to America to speed up the process #LFC Hmmmmm - sounds like Kenny wants to know too

    Kenny

True, thats part of the problem really - lack of structure in place from FSG

Maybe its there turn to go over! But in all seriousness, this gives me even more doubts that they have a plan in place. I expect there will be discussions now, a decision made and if Kenny is asked to step down the search for a new manager begins. It all equals delays and lost time in relation to getting our transfers done early - but thats my cynical view of things atm
