This is no longer a Rafa team. KD teams are Passion, Belief and movement, Rafa teams are tactics, intelligence and movement. I don't think we have the intelligence in our side and would need to clear out again for Rafa - certainly in midfield. I believe that Kenny can take this team forward in his way. Which is the Liverpool way. he's the intelligence, the team does the rest. not that i would not willingly have Rafa's babies. i love the man. I also think that Commoli was shown the exist for not providing cover for Lucas.

It's just a crying shame that some fans do not realise the impact of the loss of Lucas, lack of Gerrard, and Suarez ban has had on the rest of the team, we've had half a season with a makeshift junior midfield and missing key players all over the park. what the f was Kenny supposed to do? glad to see someone talking sense. As as if people here have never had one of those nights at poker when every hand is s****, and some bugger keeps calling your bluff. That's this season in a nutshell and we've still a cup up! also glad to see out last two hours of football. awesome. if we see that kind of endeavour next season we'll be there or thereabouts when it comes time to add up the points.

I think we did give up, because the players know it's work in progress and are not trying hard enough in the league. Not sure what the hell we were doing for 60 minutes when we can do what we did for 30. Carroll played the best i have seen him play, the trouble he caused their defence was great and dare i say it, looked like a top top striker today, almost 30million quid's worth.

Spearing very good defensively but Henderson must get close to him so no stray passes.

Spearing's passing is a major concern. someone needs to go and get the ball of him if he's in the team. Sissoko and Masch (to a lesser extent) were similar. If they are the two holding, Henderson must make himself easily available to Spearing when he's hunting to cut out the stray passes. Likewise, Spearo MUST play the hunter Killer role, I feel it's his niche if he wants to be a big player. he's starting to remind me a little of Mash with his closing down and chasing. i also thin someone should just tell Henderson to try the Xabi metronome style from the center of the park. he's got the passing in his locker.

Agreed. The club as a whole will have learnt a lot from this season. I felt we'd gambled a little with squad depth versus young players at the start of the season and it's backfired terribly by losing so many first team players throughout the second half of the season for one reason or another. this has forced questionable decisions on the coaching staff because that was the only realistic decision they could make at the time. It's great to see a few of the youngsters starting to look the part, but we may not see the benefit of those until at least next season or even the season after. And we need to start slipping opposition keepers a mickey before games.

I don't to make excuses for the management, but... The thing I don't understand is my people would jump for Kenny's head without looking at the context of the season. In particular the loss of Lucas, which has definitely had an effect on the team as a whole. In addition the huge amounts of time without Gerrard (who's also yet to hit real form), Agger (our best defender) and Suarez. Not to mention holes in other parts of the field that will have forced certain non natural tactics on the team. A the same time we're blooding raw talent in Henderson an Carroll who are having to learn new styles of play with new team mates. The big picture is a lot rosier than the season picture imho. in addition we've had so little good luck and so much bad luck it's unreal. We've battered teams with total domination football and walked away with 0 points due to hitting posts, bars and oppo goalkeepers consistently having the game of their lives against us. We've not had the rub of the green from the refs either. despite all this we've a pot in the cupboard and a chance for another. Qualified for Europe next season at the earliest opportunity. Filled out quota for English players (which a lot of people seem to have forgotten about that little rule about home grown players, which is why we HAD to spend over the odds on some British talent) We need to get behind the man and show support for him and the team.

We had Kallstrom and R.r...r.....e.. playing for us tonight according to the commentary there. poor homework.
