Match Topic Liverpool vs Newcastle United - Premier League, 31st January @ 8pm

My brother has been calling it Jimmy s***tyfinger since the mid 90’s. -
I think he knows he’s getting it either soon or in the summer and that’s why he’s got a cob on.

You’re right to a point, and hindsight can blur things. What I meant by that was I don’t think I ever felt like I lost faith in Jurgen to eventually turn it around given the time. And I’ve been one of the most vocal about Arne being shafted by the squad make up this season, but at this point I don’t have the same faith this time around. That is partly due now to the lack of new players this window, but the length of this period feels longer and with less signs of adaptability or new ideas / a solution. With this squad and no spending, I’m not convinced Alonso is the answer at this point either. That’s not a reason not to sack Slot, but it does circle back to the point that Hughes and Edwards have really f***ed this up. -
Jurgen to the end of the season, then Alonso would do me. Not going to happen though!

I hope it's not going to be a 'Slot will leave at the end of the season' announcement. That'd be f***ing stupid.

Slept on it, really f***ing grim on a number of levels. We'll never really know how the manager would have performed had he had a proper squad. But Jurgen got us through periods of playing the kids, playing midfielders in defence because of injuries, and it never felt as desperate as this. If we're going to sack him, the next manager needs a centre half right now. Edwards and Hughes need to go in the summer or when their contracts end as well. They've made a clusterf*** of title winning team and squad and have fallen well short of what is acceptable. Wouldn't be surprised if the owners didn't dither further though and it turns really nasty in the next few weeks. -

We should have had at least one CH in on 1st Jan. it’s mainly on the the f***ing suits. As usual. -
That Joyce piece is weird. Edwards is the main briefer so the only reason his name gets included in there is if he’s trying to apply a bit of pressure on the owners himself.

Slept on it. Bloody miserable isn’t it. Can’t help feel Slot has got in his own head now. There’s zero swagger about us, when there’s plenty of players that are a lot better than we’re showing. I don’t think we’d be in this state if the suits had done their jobs properly. They f***ed it in the summer. Both can be true at once. Am not convinced Alonso is the answer, I feel like the biggest thing we’re missing now is a character to bring it all back together and be a bit of a laugh again. -

I wasn't really talking about on here KAMF, mainly Twitter. I think he's still got plenty to prove this season, but that's true every season to be fair.

There's an element of utter morons in our fanbase but I think to think it is mainly a loud minority of the online brigade. I like to think we've got a pretty great fan base on the whole, the best there is.
-
Nah they're allowed to enjoy it. The ones attacking him personally and calling him a fraud etc can get to f*** though. The shortest of memories. There's been a lot of really heavy stuff posted about his ability as a coach, which given the list of circumstances he's had to face hasn't been in any way balanced. He's not been perfect by any means, but a lot of it has been way over the top.
-
Imagine the hand wringing if we win the Champions League now amongst the idiot brigade in our fan base. Stranger things have happened.

No thanks to Tuchel, he's f***ing weird and managed that shower of s***e (take your pick!).
-
City will be all over Enrique with their big offshore back handers if Guardiola is off. Depends if he wants to play that game.
-
He 'could' be really useful, but the bigger concern is he's b*****d and so are his advisors. There'd have to be a big turnaround in attitude, which I don't see coming. Didn't he accept a pretty modest deal there in terms of wages? We got 10m for him already and haven't had to pay his wages while he's been injured. If he ate a big bowl of humble pie there's probably a price that becomes attractive. Less that 35m though. Could see him at Chelsea or City.

We’ve gone from morons that played at the highest level, to just….
