If we sell Elliott and buy a new midfielder, Jones might fall down the pecking order but I don't think we'll sell him. We need more midfielders (that Slot likes), not fewer. Don’t believe anything coming from City. All their success is based on being full of s*** when it comes to numbers.

He's a right wing back in a 3-5-2 for Leverkusen. Not sure where this idea that he is a winger who can't defend has come from. Maybe because he scores and assists a lot. Leverkusen went a full Bundesliga season unbeaten last year. Not even Bayern have done that. I think his ability to get up and down the pitch was a big part of their succes and that's what he's going to do for us. Getting that kind of pace around Salah will be really exciting. He's played as a winger a few times for the national team but for Leverkusen he's a wing back.

Wow. If I could pick any player this summer, Wirtz would be very near the top of that list. A phenomenal player. Dreaded the thought of him replacing De Bruyne at City so this is a nice surprise. Thought the fee would rule us out.
