I'm with SwanRed here. I'm sure they get a big slice of their income from RTE from a contract that was likely signed before the Sun came on board. When do we draw the line on this - should ex-players pull out of programmes if there are Sun ads in the breaks?

Some journo - Winter maybe - tweetd a pic of some United loon wearning a shirt with D Gill on the bank. Barmy. Knowing far too much about boardroom machinations and balance sheets is one of the many downsides about modern football so I'd much rather just be supporting the players on the pitch.

We have 3 young Scouse lads playing well against a very good team who need to win. Need to narrow the gap between midfield and attack. Kuyt and Meireles busy defending rather than supporting attack. And Suarez needs to retain the ball better when we're breaking.

No. He was very taciturn. I think there was a perception outside Liverpool that he was dour. Remember Hansen having to point out that Kenny was very witty in private. Having said that, he probably saw a lot less of managers those days.
