    f*** fsg.
  3. didn't our owners constantly moan about not having a salary cap like the american sports teams have. You'd think that would be one of the first thing these clubs would try and introduce.
  4. if this side we put out today was put out by man united, city, everton, chelsea - i'd be laughing at the absolute state of them and how s*** their squad is. How failure to spend 30m in January knowing full well the cbs were out for the season i'd be laughing at how skint they are. And even better how the dire results would cost a good manager his job... It's not a rival side, it's us, when's anyone gonna get angry about what fsg have done to this club, this team, this manager. When the summer transfer window closes and we've spent f*** all again for the umpteenth time in a row?
  5. nothing will change on the pitch unless the fanbase changes it's attitude towards ownership being able to deliver off the pitch. Nothing.
  6. why presume the manager, it's not him who didn't reinforce in january when the team needed it. The downed tools when it was evident there was no calvary coming - the battle was lost so whats the point of carrying on fighting.
  7. we changed tactics but bobby firmino who's as pointless on the pitch as ox on the sub bench gets another 90 f***ing minutes.
  8. yep, seems to get on well with a few of the players already, they seem made up he kept a clean sheet. Stewart, well two goals in two games so it looks like his confidence in his own game at this level is growing. His goal today was from a mistake from the arsenal rb who got caught on the ball and lost it, much like billy last week, and it was played to stewart inside just inside the box and he hit it hard and low inside the far post. It was a good finish. Jake cain's goal was similar, we pressed, they lost the ball to jake who was dead centre and about 5 yards outside the box. Think the win against chelsea gave them a massive lift after a run of bad results. The u18s won the mini derby too. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/academy/427057-u18s-everton-match-report-academy will be interesting to see with the brexit rules how it affects youth teams overall, fair to say chelsea and man city u18's/u21/u23 sides have dominated for the past few seasons and it's fair to say they've flooded these sides with some of the best young prospects from around the globe. For a local schoolboys it might mean they get an extra two years to truely show if there up to it before having to compete with players who've turned 18. Also interested to see if our link up with redbird and their ownership in toulouse see's us using toulouse as a way to get younger players in that way.
  9. u23's played arsenal today - winning 4-0, liam hughes in goal looked very good, jake cain x2, woodburn, layton stewart scoring, glatzel made a return after being out for so long. And a female ref and based on this single performance alone she should be immediately promoted to take lee mason's place, asap. Just need a few more to take atkinson, moss, marriner, coote's place.
  10. Give it to James Milner
  11. Well I was hoping more fakenewsblues but Bobby liking a pic of an opposing player scoring against us isn't going to go down well with the fan base.
  12. Christ almighty
  13. The bar is low. Frankly him getting a shot on target would be an improvement to what we've seen recently.
  14. This - i hate that this is what we are reduced to, hoping to fluke it from where we were, top of the league at xmas/new year to having our chances of the league completely and utterly obliterated by the inaction of our own owners coupled with todays announcement, I honestly feel sick.

  16. i mean we look a mile from both right now so might as well say win the cl final against city. (Just imagine it) I think top 4 is probably the more likelier achievement but % wise is shrinking with each passing game.
  17. doesn't look like we'll get europa either, so there's that.
  18. our current u23 cb's (sepp, billy, williams) aren't even at wisdom levels tbh.
  19. Pre season 2020-2021, as I now consider it, has been awful, too many matches, players still in holiday mode, can't wait to get back in the ground and the proper footy can begin. Still think we need a signing or ten before the new season starts. Hopefully we can get the injured lads ready for the big kick off.
  20. Other teams start investing in the top youth players from around the globe who are 15/16/17 years of age and seem to do what houllier recommended years ago - get them on the weights, so they are physically up to the challenge. I mentioned against Everton u23s the physical difference. We have some lads who are naturally tall but are proper shrinking violets, some who probably bossed it cos of height at youth level, but now the other kids have caught up physically it shows their skill set never grew with them, and the smaller slighter ones are like terriers but struggle to physically impose themselves on the game. Too many of our u23s are built like taki minamino. Neither strong, physical, or have a blistering turn of pace, but taki has made it, and if I was to guess which players go on to have some sort of career it would be some of those aggressive little lads in our squad. Overall we've an average squad at u23 level this season, lack wingers, forwards, we've alot of players who've just stepped up from u18 level, I think it's shocked some of them how much more physical pl2 is from u18 level. There is some potential there though and it might save us several million in transfers fees. If we end up in Europa next season we might see some of them pitted against higher levels than pl2.
  21. I think he has and why we were sniffing around Werner last summer. Glad we didn't pursue werner though, suited for a counter attacking team, neither ourselves or Chelsea are that type of team, most opposition sides give us the ball and sit deep and try and narrow the space. Strikers aren't cheap so we either change the way we play tactically from what's brought us success or the owners have to open our cheque book and sign a cheque.
  22. He's that bad in utter desperation i tweeted out to the void to put divock on. Divock for crying out loud.
  23. He does have 2 or 3 around him, so too Salah. Imagine how much freedom mane and Salah would have if we had Haaland upfront. A proper battering ram, pace, power and an ability to score goals. We aren't getting him though or mbappe, wonder if we can scrape together enough money to get daka. Off to Google strikers out of contract in 2022 for January.
  24. He's done isn't he. Two seasons and he has what two or three league goals. I feel like we are playing with ten men every match cos of him and his performances, on top of that injuries every f***ing game and var favouring the opposition every f***ing time, it's too much for any squad, never mind our paper thin one. I wish we'd let firmino go to sheff United and we'd kept Brewster, cos I really don't think he'd squander or scuff all the chances presented to firmino.
  25. FT 2-3. liverpool win away at chelsea, connor bradley man of the match imho. We were shocking for half an hour but the goal breathed life and confidence into the team. Looked to have wrapped it with stewarts goal and we looked the more likely side to add a fourth but chelsea pulled one back with a few minutes to go and pushed for an equaliser in the 5 which turned out to be six added mins. Again some shocking decisions from the ref throughout.
