I keep expecting him to get better but it never seems to happen. As I said previously I reckon Rafa will ship him out in the summer unless he improves drastically

Put simply I think he's a good player. He's shown he can have an impact from the bench. He can play in a position that is the weakest in our squad. It doesn't benefit us in anyway that I can see in him leaving

My gripe about him leaving is not based on what he offers upfront. It's the fact that we've failed to sign a right midfielder and Pongolle has shown on occasion he can perform there for us. So selling him makes no sense that I can see And I think he has more about him than some say

Haven't seen it but apparently Rafa has said that the move was tied in with Gonzalez going to Depr. and as that hasn't happened the Victor deal didn't either Which came first I dunno I hope we have other irons in the fire though. We spent 3 months in the summer and now another month here trying to sign a bleeding winger and it'll be frustrating if we fail again. For the balance of the side we need someone to come in

I think we've been spoilt in the last years with the strikers we've had. We went from Keegan and Toshack to Kenny, then Kenny and Rush, Aldridge & Beardsley, Fowler then Owen. We've always had at least one talismanic striker at the club, who we've been able to pin our hopes on and know that they would score the goals. And we dont have anyone like that now If we have a big wodge of cash available in the summer then i'd hope Rafa uses most of it on a striker as I dont think we've much chance of catching Chelsea with the players we have

I think he needs to show more physical strength. It's the main thing holding him back as he is always being knocked off the ball before he has time to show his ability He also could do with going more than a month without picking up a knock if possible. That's also held him back I'd guess given how ruthless Rafa can be that he has between now and the summer to improve or face the possibilty of joining Djibril out the door
