Not sure how I'd prioritise where to spend the money this Summer. IMO definitely need a top quality full back, ideally a CB, a CM, a wide player and another forward. There is nothing at all on the bench week after week that inspires any kind of confidence at all.

I think at 3-1 we should have made a change: either personnel (?Agger) or formation or both. But we had to think about the result then, not even at 3-2 IMO but at 3-1 we had to at the minimum kill the game for a few minutes and break any momentum. Hamman would have known to crumple at this time. We looked naive and lacked a bit of nous. Obviously the broader question at the moment is can we get the balance of the side a bit better. We'd almost certainly be better scoring 20 fewer if we also conceded 15 fewer.

Done an absolutely brilliant job. Hopefully he learns from that. We were naive there.

Totally agree - he has the energy and instinct to get in front of the play which is vital in a midfielder when trying to break down a team. Sturridge didn't look fit. Aspas looked like Aspas.

Henry comes across as very, very smart in that Business Insider piece. And I think they have got a few big calls right and for that they deserve big credit: 1. They picked a brilliant manager. That's one of the biggest decisions the owners make - and they nailed it. 2. I think what they want to do at Anfield is great 3. They basically refused to sell Suarez and were clearly prepared to take it a long, long way to prevent it.

Do you know if he's written at all on the impact of his clinical work (forensic psychiatry) on his subsequent practice at all? I've not read his book.

Hope he gets a long extension - wasn't there some debate about this earlier this season? I think he, Simeone, Guardiola and Klopp are the best managers under 50 in Europe.
