i think people are ignoring the the impact the World Cup has had on players being available - is it just me or is it more significant this season (for all clubs) then previously? I wasn't overly delighted with Hodgson as manager, mainly because I feel his philosophy (and often execution) is too similar to both Rafa's and GH's, but you can't really judge him on games played so far until the full side is available for each game. The transfers have not excited me so far but how much is pending on the sale of Masch and / or the takeover, so again we can only judge by the end of the window. The loan of Aquilani seems strange but may allow for a loan signing or free the wages to allow for an additional striker. If it is a purely cost cutting move then thats no more Hodgsons fault as it was Rafa's ... that's all down to the two sh*ts we have as owners.
