Tuesday was my first home game despite having a season ticket.I was on holiday for the first two games. Whilst not actually at the game I was reading from lots of sources that Gomez was going to be "this" and " that" and a world class player already. And I thought that people should hang on and calm down because he had only played a few games. However watching him on Tuesday I was very very very impressed. This guy on Tuesday looked like a world class player every day of the week. As Dion Dublin said today he is very much like Mark Lawrenson which is a great complement.

Gomes was great. I wasn't impressed with Matip. I thought there were a few times when he should have ran through some challenges and he made a few mistakes
