Exactly. I highly doubt a young lad like Gonzales is going to stroll straight into the first team and keep Kewell out of the team for the duration of the season. Don't get me wrong, I have high hopes for the lad but I'm not even sure he would be too fond of the idea of immediately having the pressure of being first choice for us from the moment he unpacks his suitcases. Him and Kewell will share the position next season although if he does live up to the hype then it wouldn't surprise me to see Kewell seriously considered for sale this time next year, especially as he'll be going on 29 by then.

How the hell did we win the FA Cup?

I was fairly confident with the Kaizer, I remember the sheer quality of the penno he took in Istanbul and was fairly sure he'd convert. I was more worried with Riise and Stevie to be honest. -
In 2001 when Mikey won it that was the Owen Cup Final. Yesterday surely belonged to Mr.Stevie G. Unreal Fantastic I still can't get over it.

The only reason I stopped to shake their hands and say well done was because I was in a delrious daze and had I been totally normal I probably wouldn't have done it for fear of a t***ting. But they didn't just act politely and say go off, they all made a genuine effort to shake my our hands and congratulate us etc etc etc. I'm normally critical of cockneys but credit where credits due and as I said, Chelsea could learn a lot from them.

Absolutely fantastic set of fans. All shaking our hands down the high street after the game and offering their congratulations etc. What a refreshing change from that shower of b******s from East London.

I was also leathered. Brilliant weekend and I now feel I have exorcised the nagging, annoying ghost which has been haunting me ever since I didn't go to the European Cup Final. Fantastic weekend.

Happy enough with the selling arrangements to be honest. Believe it rewarded loyalty and gave preferance to those who went out of their way to follow the reds at stupid kick off times in stupid places like Portsmouth. Seasies were given priority over fancards with the same number of credits which IMO is the way it should be done, but they wern't allowed priority over those who had been to more games than them, again far enough. It's only the robbery events which have left a bitter taste in the mouth.

Radio Merseyside discussing the possibility of cancelling the final or postponing it.

Annoying to say the least that with an FA Cup Final comes all this b******s to be honest.

Exactly my thinking. The obvious answer is to take the credit/debit card receipt, a print out of the page with the confirmation on it, your fancard and photo ID. That's what I'm doing. Not taking any chances. BTW, my tickets were ordered Wednesday and recieved Friday and I got a call from the TO wanting to confirm mine had been delivered today. Not sure if that helps anyone or not. As others have pointed out, there is a potential for serious trouble to kick off outside the ground. Having 1,600 extra in a ground like the Millenium probably isn't too much of a cause for concern so I wouldn't really worry about saftey issues inside the ground, but outside with a lot of drunk people queuing to get in to a potentially VERY slow moving queue is somewhat worrying to say the least. If it looks in a bad way I'll be going in the ground 2ish.

My dads a blade but hasn't gone the match for years apart from the odd occaison. I've been to Bramall Lane with him a couple of times and it's always seemed alright but I've heard so many reports of them being c**** in the Worthy Cup it's obviously not hear say. I'll be going Bramall Lane next season I should imagine, balaclava job maybe?

I was tooing and frowing as to whether to go or not, eventually decided to give it the swerve and save funds for next week. One visit to Fratton was enough for me this season. Absolute dump, but I must say the Traveller's Joy is a sound pub and the pompey lads in there were freindly and welcoming when I went.

Just been watching Premiership Years on Sky

Obviously the one point seperating the two sides shows the gulf in quality and couldn't be down to the fact that the Mancs were knocked out of Europe in the group stages, the FA Cup in the 5th round and played their reserves in the Carling Cup until the semis and therefore the first team had little to focus on other than the league, could it? -
As much as the thought of that year makes me shudder even now(you know, every t*** on the streets and on the tele was a manc for a year), seeing that g******* Keane lifitng the 3 most coverted posessions in domestic and European football and have to put up with the media w***fest over the Mancs. Then to top it off whiskeynose got knighted. BUT, there were some f***ing funny moments that year: Di Cannio flooring the ref who then wobbled to the floor. Ian Wright mimicking the refs wobble to the floor as a goal scoring celebration. That Carlisle goal-keeper scoring the goal to keep them in the football league then getting swamped by thousands of fans The funniest of all however: Following Ole Gunnar Soleskjaer's winner in the European Cup Final, the commentator proceeded to inform us, "Nobody will ever win a European Cup in such dramatic fashion" Oh how hindsight is such a wonderful thing!

Cheers mate. Nice one to read some words from Mikey that aren't specifically engineered for the press.

Presumeably, due to the speed of the allocations being decided, we can expect some sort of news at least by the end of the week.
-
I'm in one of them! I thought I recognised Big Wayne out of the photos I'd seen on this site but didn't realise I was so close! I'm in the photo titled "Jonsey" you can see me to the right of the guys arm being held up in the air. Cannot believe that!

Nervous, but it's an FA Cup final against a good side, of course I'm nervous! Anything can, and has happened on the day but bearing in mind how many sides of West Ham's ability we've dismantled for fun this season we really should beat them. West Ham will be seriously up for it and I'd have been much happier playing Boro but to be honest, we're Liverpool FC and we shouldn't be worried about West Ham. Of course we could lose and I am not taking a thing for granted but at the same time I have every faith that our lads will go into the game with 100% focus and treat it just as they did the semi final, in which case we should win.
-
According to the FA site they do still differentiae the allocation between attendances, I seem to remember Millwall moaning about it. Presumeably that would see us get a slightly better allocation than West Ham.
