These owners are fine for me financially. It's the fact that the principal owner shows more interest in Minor League Baseball teams than he does LFC which concerns me. Which wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't covertly installed Mike 'Cardinal Richelieu' Gordon as de facto Head of Club or the fact that they naively believe that football is about having the best algorithm. The there's also the fact that they've failed to grasp the "economic" benefits of a 60k Anfield which would include a substantial local youth presence thereby helping to generating the type of atmosphere which would... wait for it... make Anfield a place where teams come to lose rather than take the piss. There's plenty more where that came from NYR but it's lazy in the extreme to just lash everyone who qs FSG with the 'ah sure you only want an Oligarch'. We want owners who are emotionally invested in the club; as daft as that may sound. But failing that, savvy enough to realise that the lack of said emotion means they should employ the best football people money can buy to run the club. Fails all round.

Bottom line is that when the Red Sox were in worse state than we are (last season) JWH got up off the hammock and did an impromptu press conference for 45 mins with local/national media. Mike Gordon is point man and my guess, knowing ego's at this level like I do, is that he's nearly got as much to lose from this as Rodgers so hence the stagnation. What gets lost in my FOFSG stuff is that the reason I'm so irritated with them is that they'd be top class owners if they even gave us 75 % of the attention they give the Sox. But they don't. No mate cos to be fair to them, if it doesn't make economic sense to extend the ground then they shouldn't do it. We can't as fans lambast them for deciding to abandon a project that would ultimately only make Financial sense if they charged exhorbitant ticket prices whilst at the same time campaign against higher ticket prices. The other argument is that it of course makes financial sense (even at 'normal' ticket prices) but you just wait longer for your return. if what you've heard is true then the fact they aren't prepared to adopt this strategy means they're not arsed about us long term and are most likely looking to sell-up in the next few (5?) years. A far more eloquent way of making my point above.

That's a great article Ali. It could very easily be written about LFC. I'd also like the FSG-a-maniacs to note how an arsed owner behaves when HIS TEAM are in the s***. He gets his septuagenarian a*** off the hammock & does a 20 minute Q&A with the media. What did LFC get today? A 'comprehensive plan'. But yeah, they're massively arsed about LFC. FOFSG.

Ya think?! I'm fairly certain he's been at 1 home game in the last 3 yrs (Utd last yr?) ! Think about that for a minute .. Think about the momentus games any arsed owner would've been bothered to turn up for if they gave a flying f*** about the game - Rodgers (his appointment) 1st home game, Title deciders against City & Chelsea. Real Madrid in CL. Stevie's last game. (To name but a few!) And cuddly Tom Werner has been equally as unarsed. So yeah, f*** off FSG.

Firing Rodgers makes sense on every level for FSG. It takes the heat of them for starters. We as fans are more interested in who they'd replace him with. Again, get Klopp (or Emey for eg) and it takes the heat off them massively. They'd also be mitigating the risk of having to fire him mid season next year and forced into hiring a 2nd tier replacement. It's optimism of the deluded type that says Rodgers can turn this around without the type of players FSG will never buy for LFC. Case in point Benteke? ha! And even then I'd say it's a huge risk as there's no way to predict how our end of season collapse will affect our start to next season. So I can't come up with a cogent argument as to why they wouldn't do this. I heard Neil on TAW show do his best but he had more holes in his argument than a FIFA Ethics report. Compensation can't be a factor as there's no way Rodgers would be entitled to a full pay off having finished 6th and no trophy. Maybe 1 yrs wages - £4m? Also they can get Klopp without paying compensation. So why keep Rodgers?

The reason I love Rafa (and I'll state here that I don't think he should ever manage us again as the same c**** who hounded him out the last time are now angrier and more middle aged) is that he fought for us. He walked into the club & said 'f*** yeah I can win things here'. He took no bulls*** from his board, c**** in the media or The managers Mafia. He just wanted Liverpool to win and he loved us. He really loved us. Liverpools a romantic city. Scouser are the great romantics of Britain so that's why he was so perfect for us, cost we embraced him. I'm drunk and rambling but I'll leave it at this: Rodgers never fought for us. He never took on the establishment for us. He never once tried to create a siege mentality at the club. He played the party line every time. Which is what 99% of managers would do but I firmly believe that for example if he'd have had the balls to call Jose a c*** for all the shyte he talks about LFC he'd have more credit in the bank today. He took it up the a*** from refs all season. Not a whimper. It's no wonder we're a team if f***ing son in laws. It's led from the top. He's been looking after #1 since he got here and that's grand but ultimately it's a lonely place to be when you need some mates to back you up.

You honestly haven't got a clue. Serious "businessmen" take a f***ing interest in what they've invested in. You certainly make sure to appear as if you're interested.
