    While always cautious due to the last 30 years’ experience, what makes me feel positive is the fact that we only lost the league last year by getting 1 point against City whereas they got 4. Now this can’t happen this year and we’re playing on a similar level to last year whereas they are not. Early days still, mind.

    My formative years (English football-wise anyway) saw them win countless titles. That made me dislike them for a long time. Now I kinda like them and the fans I know all seem sound enough!

    Think it was Julien Laurens in the Totally Football Show podcast who predicted very early into last season that Fabiho would go on to become the best signing any team made that season.

    Was watching this in the evening and used the fast forward 15 secs button every time there was a throw in or similar. They must’ve wasted a good 30 minutes of the game. It was insane.

    I hope no-one is stupid enough to count their chickens just yet. But I would rather be 8 points ahead compared to any other offered situation at this stage. Unless 9 or more points were offered!

    Winning 25/30 is a huge ask to be fair. Think it will still very much come down to the games against City. 3 points minimum for us and we’re on our way pretty well.

    Not sure I’m reading this right but to me it looks like Liverpool are 15 points ahead of Manchester United after 8 rounds of football.
